My order status (100246*** Ordered: 06/01/2021) changed to dispatched this morning and I've received the tracking email also. :D

....sadly the link to the tracking site doesn't work though, so the excitement and anticipation continues!

Seriously though, CW must be very busy, and difficult circumstances with Covid, so its just a case of keeping it in perspective, sitting tight and being patient I think. They will get through them all soon enough I'm sure.
CW: C8 Flyer UTC, C1000 Typhoon Cockpit Edition, C65 Super Compressor, C60 Trident 600 GMT, C63 Sealander GMT and Many others!

6 days now 'being prepared for dispatch' - I wonder if that's a record 🥴. You'd think they'd send an email explaining to those of us in limbo 🤔

The tracking-mails are not working, I got my tracking number on the Customer Hotline. The Pacels to the EU are on hold, there is/was a problem with the duties.

That explains quite a lot :problem:

I can wait it out, but always the worry that they have no stock left of high demand items by the time they get to me ](*,)

Well that made me smile. We have discussed this, haven't we. :D
If EU customs can confiscate truck drivers ham sandwiches, they will certainly not forget to deal with local sales tax.

I still maintain they are just snowed under with orders and working there way through them. I did pop a quick email to them yesterday afternoon, asking for status update, haven't had a reply yet, but the order has now been dispatched... maybe worth contacting them if nothing changes very soon...

The Customer Service told me, that DHL asked for custom-payments twice. The sorted it out, that we don´t have to pay anything (VAT or customs) when the pacel arrives to us. :)

Just received a reply to my status query email yesterday, prior to it being marked as dispatched this morning...
You should receive an email with the tracking details shortly, please note that the tracking link will not go live until the parcel has had its first scan which will be later on today.
The dispatch email just means it's been packed, booked with the courier and is waiting for pickup. So it seems that any tracking link won't go live until it gets picked up from them and scanned at the DPD depot... I would expect to see that later this evening, fairly normal

Nice to hear, that you love your new c65. I ordered my second c65 on this sale. My Order-Status went to "order is despatched" on January 8. Until now, the tracking is saying, that the "shipper has generated a shipment label, but the shipment has not yet been handed over to DHL". I am like a kid in the candystore

Well said Mark_B!

We all need to be grateful they are working under incredibly trying circumstances (surprised they are even working with the UK restrictions tbh) to push out as many watches from the sale as possible. Their delivery partners are also under the same difficult restrictions. I'm certain they are exhausted/spent and doing an excellent job given the hand they've been dealt.

Let's take a step back from the whinging and instead wait patiently as Mark_B noted.

I doubt people are seriously worried about delivery dates as such. I suspect it's more to do with the remote possibility that there were only 4 of a certain watch, say, and 5 orders were accepted - so until the status goes to despatched there's a slight chance of a failure.

I don't know how many watches CW sell, but 2000 over 3 days, would equate to 200,000 over a year. I am not sure how many it is, but I doubt it's that high, so moving 2000 watches over a short period will surely test their systems.

By the same token, I have a fedex parcel in Paris. First thing this morning it said delivery by noon. It now says delivery by close of play tonight. It 's no longer saying "awaiting shipment" - it now says "in transit", but I know I'm not getting it today. If I get it by Friday, I'll be happy. However, I ordered a couple of watch clasps from China - delivery by Feb, and they dropped through the letter box yesterday, so you just never know. It is what it is, and they arrive when they arrive.

That's certainly the case for me and I'm sure others... there have been cases of over selling previously on sale watches and at least one prototype seems to have been oversold this time, so yes it's the worry of not getting the model that one has lusted after for a good while and finally able to get at a sale price.

My current daily wear watch (C65 Cranwell) I didn't buy on sale, but that was for a birthday and so timing was important and happy to pay retail (well with a discount voucher of course). For the C8 Power Reserve however, that's a serious amount at full price, for something that will get worn for a few days in a week, so the sale is a fantastic opportunity to get something special but not break the bank

Now it's been dispatched, I don't really care if it takes another week to get here, I'm just glad to have another SH21 based watch again, and particularly this beautiful aviation based watch :D
