Some watches arriving next day after sale some missing in action
I'm worried enough about 'being prepared for dispatch' for 5 days!
I can only guess that they have been working some of the weekend to get orders packed and ready for courier pickup tomorrow perhaps. Mine still shows "Being Prepared for Dispatch" still, which is mildly concerning, but I'm hopeful it will change status tomorrow...StrapMeister wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 5:13 pm
I received both a PayPal confirmation email AND a CW order confirmation email.
I went back into my CW account to check the order was there and, low and behold, it was, stating "Being Prepared for Dispatch".
I haven't heard anything since!
So, seeing/hearing people that had already received their purchase(s) and after I had made my purchase, I was beginning to get a bit twitchy.
Therefore, I've just gone into my account and it's showing as "Dispatched" but I haven't received an email stating as such - which is a bit strange!
You would have thought that any order status change would auto-generate an email message to the Account holder.
Anyway, I guess the next I'll know is a "We will Deliver..." DPD message.
Oh dear, that doesn't sound good... "pre-order" could mean the next step is either a long wait or "sorry we've actually run out of stock" (given that these were mostly end of line sale items). Let's hope that's not the case and it's just a very busy and hectic few days for them!
I'd wager some more show up tomorrow...
Likewise, my order is 1002476**, so they must have a load of orders to get through, especially given current circumstances
I can confirm that this is indeed the caseBahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 6:26 pmA valid point Frank, except, I believe that you have missed comments by Mark (@albionphoto) from a couple of days ago.
Prior to the sale going live, CW wrote/emailed to all those who had bought a C65 Super Compressor Black Sand at full price (maybe less a £100 voucher) and made a generous offer, which they didn't need to make, to counter that they were about to sell off the remaining stock at a discount.
Guy
again fwiw, I have an order number starting 100246*** and it is showing 'being prepared' - customer services mentioned that they are working on 'dispatching items within 2-3 days (but was subject to change)', which is pretty darn good given the current circumstances of a very busy sale on top of the global pandemic I think.
Super customer service that this happened proactively.Mark_B wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 2:01 amI can confirm that this is indeed the caseBahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 6:26 pmA valid point Frank, except, I believe that you have missed comments by Mark (@albionphoto) from a couple of days ago.

Guy- I bought a C65 Supercompressor black sand with 15% off earlier in the year, and a few days before the sale I had an email out of the blue from a very helpful person (Vallen) from CW customer services advising me that the SC was going to be in the sale at 40% off and CW were offering me a 'voucher' to match the difference in price to what I paid, which they didn't have to do. (though I'm glad they did!!!)

I had missed out on a C60 Trident 3 GMT in last years sale, and had moved on (with it and the Dartmouth being on the back burner for possible/probable purchases at some point), and then the C65 caught my eye as soon as it came out, but I didn't pull the trigger until slightly later on - I paid a price for the SC that I was very happy with at the time and knowing full well that there could be other sales, but given that the SC was a new model and not wanting to miss out, I pulled the trigger knowing that I could take advantage of the 60/60 if needed).
Great customer service and great customer loyalty I'd say, since they didn't have to do that - I contacted CW and asked if they minded me mentioning this on the forum which they said was fine (as per Mark (@albionphoto) post, mentioned above, which I haven't seen yet), they said they had emailed all those who had bought a C65 Super Compressor Black Sand, so it was ok to mention it on the forum.
I don't know of many companies that would follow up in that way, so credit where it is due.![]()
.....and as a result hopefully very soon I with have my 4th CW in the from of a NN C60 Trident 3 GMT, black dial /bezel.![]()
