The sale models look to be the ones with the misaligned text.

Bought for £397, stating cost £795 new and using photographs taken from the CWL website because the seller doesn’t have the piece in their possession takes some brass.

I'm new to this forum but have admired CW watches for a number of years. I purchased a watch in the sale on Wednesday and have heard nothing other than the initial order confirmation. I checked out as a guest as its been a few years since I'd brought a CW watch and didn't want to miss the boat like last year. I've had a couple of bad experiences with mail order over Christmas so I'm a bit nervous. Is there anyway I can check the status with no CW account or should I just sit tight?
Cheers
Tom
Hi,

There are a few of us that have had an email "order confirmation" and are showing as "Being Prepared for Dispatch" on our account order status page. You obviously won't have that page, but I suspect (hope) that we're just looking at them being very busy. I have heard some have received "order dispatch" emails today as well, but not seen anything so far here.

Of course, there have been issues in the past as I understand it, with orders being confirmed but then stock not actually being available. It seems whatever caused this previously has (apparently) been rectified for this time. Therefore, if you were able to order and get confirmation, then it would seem all should be ok.

Again, this is just based on what I've read on here, others with more knowledge may be able to jump in and advise

Hopefully we'll all get "order dispatched" emails on Monday and watches a day or two later :D

Cheers
Gary

That all seem to be a sound and accurate response from Gary (@JasperCat). Fingers crossed for you.

A suggestion though for you Tom (@TShakespeare), which I have no idea whether it will work but I'm sure it is worth a try.

How about registering an Account on the CW website, making sure (as far as you are able) that your name, address and email etc. are the same as you used for your order (when you checked out as a guest).

It is just possible that the account / order system will put 2 and 2 together, making 4, and when you then look at your account your order and its status will be there.

Guy
Thank you Guy, I tried this last night and it won't let me create a new account. I assume this is because I may have created one years ago with the same email but when I select forgotten password it doesn't send me an email to reset.

There is also an option to check the status of your order without an account by providing your order number, email and postal code which I have also tried with no luck. I receive a message saying sorry this order number, email or postal code do not match our records which is strange because I have an email from them with the order number and postal code on. I've double/triple checked that i have typed everything correctly so can only assume there is some kind of glitch.

Anyway thanks for your help and ill give them a call in the week if I don't hear anything.

Cheers

Tom

I bought in the last sale in July, and had a similar issue with an old account. I can't recall the precise resolution. I think CW had moved to a new system, and all accounts passwords had to be redone. Something like that I think I had to buy as a guest on that occasion too.
I was on my phone, and I'm on my PC now. I recall having to contact customer services at some point to resolve my account. Just checking my order history, I bought 2 in the last sale, and only one is showing in the order history, so the other one must have been bought as a guest.

Anyway, I bought 3 watches in the current sale on the first preview day. One despatched on Thursday, received Friday. One despatched Friday due for Monday delivery, the third not yet despatched.

I paid with paypal as it was quicker, and all 3 are showing on my paypal account, and my credit card statement on 6th.

As well as the Rosso Corsa there were two c7 Rapide chronos, one new at half price, and one NN at less than half price (maybe 60 or 55% % off). I was thinking seriously about those, although I had passed on similar ones on eBay a couple of times. Of course they were sold while I was deliberating and didn't reappear on day 3.

Time to find out how good the service & repair is at CW. New chrono is deffo not working  Do hope it is a simple repair or even a flakey battery, I have after this watch for a year now.

Hmmmm, in the light of Kip’s posting on the affect of UK lockdown, I suspect turnaround will be slow. My watch was held in Maidenhead service dept for an extra 3 months during first lockdown. I’m sure they’re a bit slicker now but I have no gauge by how much

That sucks, will see if they will reset the warranty to when they resend it back to me, its not even been fully out of the box yet. I wonder if they have another in stock they can send me (doubtful but will ask)

Interesting reading about the comments of receiving, or not as the case may be, dispatch emails.

When I made my purchase I had to re-confirm myself/CW Account (not re-register as all my details, past orders, address, email, etc. where still there) - I suspect this was due to a web site upgrade a while back (iirc) and me not re-confirming my account.

I bought through my (re-confirmed) CW account but paid using PayPal.
I received both a PayPal confirmation email AND a CW order confirmation email.
I went back into my CW account to check the order was there and, low and behold, it was, stating "Being Prepared for Dispatch".
I haven't heard anything since!

So, seeing/hearing people that had already received their purchase(s) and after I had made my purchase, I was beginning to get a bit twitchy.
Therefore, I've just gone into my account and it's showing as "Dispatched" but I haven't received an email stating as such - which is a bit strange!
You would have thought that any order status change would auto-generate an email message to the Account holder.
Anyway, I guess the next I'll know is a "We will Deliver..." DPD message.

I wonder of your item being marked 'dispatched' means it's ready to go but yet to be collected by the courier?

Once the courier has it then you'll receive the email??

Mine are still marked 'preparing for dispatch' and it's been quite a few days since the purchase.

Buyers in the UK are lucky to receive their purchases so quickly.
Omega Speedmaster, Bulova Accutron Gemini, Tudor Black Bay Heritage Maroon & Black, C65 Trident Bronze SH21 LE, C65 Trident Black, C65 Trident Diver SH21, C65 Trident Ombre LE, Longines HydroConquest beautiful AF and better than C60 300

That is a distinct possibility - I'll update here with future developments.

I forget exactly what was in the sale, but there's only 5 left now. I wonder if that's the lot.
