Re: CW January ‘21 Sale
Well, DPD delivered my new arrival - the "white" prototype C65 - and I've got to admit, I'm a little disappointed. The new packaging is fantastic, but the watch has a more silver face rather than the white the photos in the listing suggested. Back to CW HQ it goes, unless anyone else would like it...

Re: CW January ‘21 Sale
They are (the ones with the misaligned text) together with the fact that the Ocean Blue outsold the Black Sand by a significant proportion, and subsequently the Deep Blue took a further proportion of sales.nbg wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 3:46 pmThe sale models look to be the ones with the misaligned text.Palisander wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 3:34 pm Im soo suprised that they are putting Supercomplesow with such heavy discount on sale. I mean from 1000 to almost 600 for a brand new model?
Neil
The Black Sand has been discontinued / retired; hence it is in the Sale with a significant discount.
Bottom line, I'd say bluntly that CW decided to cut their losses on the Black Sand and move on.

PS> The black sand is downright gorgeous in the metal.

Re: CW January ‘21 Sale
I was going nuts for a rosso but repeatedly missed them.
Ive (hopefully) ordered a "beast", which as a few people will know, ive been trying to get hold of for at least 6 months!
If my beast order ends up somehow falling through and I get neither, but theyre popping straight up on ebay, im gona loose the plot a bit.
Re: CW January ‘21 Sale
No shipping notifications of the watches ordered on the 6th. First order is number 6956.
If you paid full price for these and now see them cleared out at 40% off, that may be disappointing though.
Even at 40% discount, they most likely are not even taking a loss and are still making money on these. Just not as much as with the regular 10-15% discounts they have throughout the year. Slow-selling stock is taking up space and capital so may as well clear them out. The R&D and fixed manufacturing costs are still covered by the blue models so no loss there.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 5:23 pm

Re: CW January ‘21 Sale
My 42mm Bronze C60 prototype arrived today. Sadly the wrong one.
The one I thought that I’d ordered had a bronze bezel, much like the 40mm version. Sadly the one I received has a blue, I assume ceramic, bezel. Did anyone get it wrong the other way round?
Ah well, these things happen.

I think that looks fantastic, not “I’ll take it off your hands” fantastic, but fantastic none the less.jtc wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 4:57 pm Well, DPD delivered my new arrival - the "white" prototype C65 - and I've got to admit, I'm a little disappointed. Some of the prototypes were interesting but certainly not a bargain at full price like this one. Especially when the black versions of these were at half price. Still cool to have a unique C65 like this though.jtc wrote: ↑Sat Jan 09, 2021 4:57 pm Well, DPD delivered my new arrival - the "white" prototype C65 - and I've got to admit, I'm a little disappointed. I noticed that one in the sale and am surprised at the silver look. Would be better in white (like the Anthropocene). I was also a little unsure about the short looking second hand.

A valid point Frank, except, I believe that you have missed comments by Mark (@albionphoto) from a couple of days ago.
Prior to the sale going live, CW wrote/emailed to all those who had bought a C65 Super Compressor Black Sand at full price (maybe less a £100 voucher) and made a generous offer, which they didn't need to make, to counter that they were about to sell off the remaining stock at a discount.

Re: CW January ‘21 Sale
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum but have admired CW watches for a number of years. I purchased a watch in the sale on Wednesday and have heard nothing other than the initial order confirmation. I checked out as a guest as its been a few years since I'd brought a CW watch and didn't want to miss the boat like last year. I've had a couple of bad experiences with mail order over Christmas so I'm a bit nervous. Is there anyway I can check the status with no CW account or should I just sit tight?
Cheers
Tom

I hadn't seen that post - that's very decent behaviourPrior to the sale going live, CW wrote/emailed to all those who had bought a C65 Super Compressor Black Sand at full price (maybe less a £100 voucher) and made a generous offer, which they didn't need to make, to counter that they were about to sell off the remaining stock at a discount

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left
