Just to point out as well that it’s set to be a scalpers paradise. ebay have just sent last night a deal for £1 selling fee’s for the next few days so expect a flurry of activity between now and Sunday to get their new purchases listed
Well assuming CW don't load any watches today, they probably shouldn't have gone live on the sale yet.
A general shopper will probably see a sale with only a handful of watches, leave and might not return.
Man, if the C65 Trident GMT listed in the sale was under $800, I’d probably jump on it. I imagine if it was available on leather, it would be under $800.

Would that need to be half price then Andrew? What would the sterling need to be to get it under $800 for you?
Conversion for me is £589.04 for $800 US.
I'm thinking that even with import duty you would still be around $900 maybe less. I paid $134 on my Ombre but that had a COSC movement (I think that matters in the duty calculation) and was almost $1200. Hopefully someone else has picked up something more recently that might be able to chime in. FYI, the C65 GMT in steel is great. I love mine.

Let me further clarify...
If it was under $800 I could avoid the import duties (making this VERY tempting)....but NOT the potential wrath of my wife (making this VERY dangerous!).
The safe course of action is to NOT explore possible ways to get this under the threshold.
I know the US have a fairly generous amount of 800 dollars, and I don't think the tax rate is as high as the UK. I just wondered what that was in sterling to be sure you were under your limit. In the UK, anything over £15.00 ($20 approx) attracts 20% sales tax/VAT.
The "haven't you got enough watches?" threshold is a bit harder to overcome.

Keep an eye on the website for any cancellations or returns. They had some for half price and if you are lucky one might find its way back to CW.
My watches are both dispatched! one for delivery Tuesday and the other just got sent. Should both be here next week. That's some good processing and shipping!
