Good point. I’m gonna be sure to be logged into my account on all devices.

I’m just adding to the frenzy eh?

Hello and welcome.

You can never be quite sure. Sometimes you think it might be over and they add more watches. It´s a moveable feast.

Buy the sale watch to make sure you have it and then you can return the watch bought at full price for a full refund within 60days of purchase (provided you have not worn this watch!)
Not necessarily good advice. It could easily happen that you buy at full price and not be able to nab one in the sale. Only buy if you are happy with the price And the watch.
Sorry but I have to disagree with your response to my comments. The OP asked “If I buy a watch at full price and it's then cheaper in the sale a few days later, can I return the watch for a full RRP refund and then re-purchase another at the discounted price?”

IMO it can be assumed that he’s surmising a situation where he’s already bought the watch at full price, is happy with it and has it in his possession but then the sale happens within 60days and the same model watch is available at the lower price.

My advice to him is then to buy the sale watch before he returns the full price watch to ensure he has 1 of the watch he was willing to pay full price for but now has it at the lower price.

LOL, that seems to make it sound like a more positive experience than it typically is for me. I’m thinking more, “It’s a movable beast”.

The first thing usually is that an email will be sent to all those on the mailing list offering an exclusive preview of the sale. This link will take you to a special sale page which will go live at the same time. Within a couple of days the sale page will appear as a link on the main website, indicating that the sale is live and open to all.

... with the caveat that the preview is about as exclusive as tap water - as soon as the link is released, it pretty much goes viral and that's discounting the gazillions who already have an account setup just to bag the sales.

Ah yes, I was going with the theory as opposed to the practice. I've never actually posted the link, but then I never bother much with the sales either. Picked up a couple of NN watches back in the days when it was all a bit gentler, but I can't be bothered with the feeding frenzy these days.

I think you might have more chance if you fancy something offbeat, rather than very popular lines.

For example, in the last sale c65 trident vintage handwound divers seemed to be generally available throughout. I got one, although on reflection I regretted not going for the bracelet option.

This +1. It seems more of a chore than it should be trying to buy a watch in the sales; if the knicker elastic snapping on the web site and crashing it down doesn't get to you, the inevitable out of stock message once you try to checkout will finish the job.

How often does CW run the 15% discount promotions?
I guess this is different to the January sale.

Hello and welcome
.
They tend to run the 15% promotions for brief periods at different times of the year.

There are also vouchers (usually £100 off if you spend over £500)

Vouchers and 15% offers tend to be across certain ranges or all stock, whereas the sale is limited to items on the sale pages.

They are also different as you cannot use the vouchers in conjunction with the sale or another offer.

The sales tend to offer the deeper discounts (up to 50% on retired lines and usually 30% on Nearly New stock)
