Well by some luck I managed to bag a NN C60 Trident GMT 40mm black dial today - one I had been watching for a while and had zero luck with the previous sales (aka feeding time at the piranha tank! ) on the 3 models I was looking at last year, so I can totally understand the frustration when you miss out.

- I monitored ebay for some while after the sale for the models I was looking at, at a price I was happy with / could justify, then bought something completely different with one of the CW 15% off model deals later on.

Congrats to those that managed to get something they wanted, commiserations to those that didn't (in the case of the latter, it does give you time to reflect and ask if you really wanted it, or if it was just because it was a bargain.....) .....there will always be other opportunities and other watches :D

....and for those that just like to sit back and watch the frenzy......enjoy the sport!
CW: C8 Flyer UTC, C1000 Typhoon Cockpit Edition, C65 Super Compressor, C60 Trident 600 GMT, C63 Sealander GMT and Many others!

Had my eye on the C65 super compressor and as predicted there it was. And in plenty of numbers. I am pleased to get the watch I wanted at a huge discount without a fight. Sometimes things work out smoothly in the sales. Last time it worked out for the exact watch I wanted during the sale was the C70 Rosso Corsa 1921. Super stoked.

Noted the email when I arrived at work ~0730 CST and have to admit with with all the choices, and past sale frenzy, I nervously bagged a SC Black Sand thinking it wasn’t going to last.
A couple hours later it was still a available so they had a bunch to sell (or I have bad taste 😆).
That makes 3 CW’s, all purchased on sale. Thanks CW!

You will never make money with these watches so I only buy watches that I like. I don’t care too much about anything else. You got a great watch. You did good

Regarding the preview email. I didn't receive it on the address I've had registered with Christopher Ward for the last few years, but I did receive it on an older email address that I had previously registered. :?

I always get the emails, all types from them especially the preview sale ones but I got nothing this time :(
Just happened to spot it went live on here and the CWE.

Seems like you will be the first to run the gauntlet, do let us know how things go, enquiring minds waiting hopefully... :?

If CW miss you out Ferg, the rest of us have got no chance!

Personally, I have just learned to live with it and this time round the forum came up trumps (as usual) and I was in as feeding time started. Just as well as it appears the sharks were ravenous.

I just happened to be having a 'live' email conversation with customer services. I asked when the sale was likely to start and I immediately got an email with a link to the sale. This was at 1.04pm.

OK.

Only a few left from day 1. When do you think Day 2 starts, about 1pm again?
Or maybe there will be no new releases until day 3, when the public get a chance.

We probably hold you personally responsible for the list at the start of day 2 being just 14 watches.

Personally I had three in my basket at various times, all were complete impulses which I wasn't able to justify: all went to other buyers for whom I am very happy.
