I read it as 1 watch per model. Not multiple models but I could be wrong. I think he is saying someone buying 3 watches of the same model are going to sell 2 of them. Definitely could be the case but there are exceptions as others have mentioned. Like say someone buying identical watches for a wedding party or as gifts for family. I can definitely see both of those as reasonable and pretty common.

To be fair, even if someone does want three of the same thing for reasonable reasons it could still be classed as a little unfair, as it means other buyers are unable to get even one.

That is true. I have seen plenty of sales with restricted quantities per person as part of the terms of the sale.

Being disappointed at not getting what you want is understandable, but is it that big a deal? First world problems? I often hear that priority should be given to "real enthusiasts" but how do you define them? Members of the forum? There's no criteria for membership, and as we saw with the 'recent banning' some people do tell lies. Prior purchase? Well, how many? how recently? Being on the mailing list? How often do we see discount vouchers being sold on eBay? If anyone REALLY wanted one of the sale watches, wouldn't they already have one? I know, not everyone has the money (I don't).
Getting something at "Sale price" is a nice bonus, but it isn't a right.
To be honest, I would be FAR more bothered if I had bought a Black sand C65 SC in September, only to find it on sale in January ...

Lu.. wrote: Fri Jan 08, 2021 6:32 am Sorry, still disappointed in CW.....I only one watch...didn't get an email on the sale....had to come to this forum to get the link....and then I see this retraction....this whole sale was handled poorly by CW......
Which sale have you been following?

Ok, I get that you didn't receive an email BUT. . .
.
.
.
The website has not crashed, is/was running smoothly and watches are now being dispatched.

Oh and ". . . I see this retraction . . .". What?

That CW identified a number of customers making purchases in breach of their Terms & Conditions and have cancelled those purchases with the sale being restocked.

C'mon.

You know what, I didn’t even think about the website not working this time. Fair play to CW for sorting this out, although I couldn’t get what I wanted, it at least made it a much less frustrating experience when searching.

I have noticed that the first one is out on eBay, a lovely little 39mm C3 Grand Tourer Blue Dial Chronograph. If only they did this as an auto

Its bad enough ebaying them a few weeks or months down the line for profit (and that does bother me), but buying directly to push them on frankly ruins it.
Especially within hours of purchase. Thats a joke and REALLY doesnt sit well with me.

One of the best things about this forum is the respect (amongst many other positives). Clearly some peoples morals are far west of mine.
