Currently have 12 mechanical watches + an Apple Watch, 8 are CW.
If I’m honest I probably wear the Apple Watch the most, I am hands on with equipment a lot at work and don’t want to trash anything irreplaceable. I do like seeing a well used mechanical watch but have to much sympathy to do it to one of my own.
My First CW was a C11 MSL, I still have it and it’s one of my favourites, love the style so much I recently bought a C11 Ti extreme 1000 diver. The big squared off style really works for me, really fancy a Bell & Ross but they are very square and I’ve not bought one yet.
My love for CW really comes from the flyers, C8’s, C9’s and C1000 dark cases with big clear watch faces, preferably on canvas or tan leather.
Only CW left on my list is the C8 M2.04 and nothing from the current line up really does anything for me so it might be that Bell & Ross or IWC big pilot if I win the lotto.
CW in the context of your collection?
Re: CW in the context of your collection?
C11 MSL, C65 Super Compressor, C8 Regulator, C9 ME109 SPC, C8 Regulator LE, C65 GMT Pepsi, C11 Ti Extreme, C1000 Typhoon.
Re: CW in the context of your collection?
I have 3 that I wear frequently - 1/3 of the watches I wear regularly. The C63 GMT black dial with the text rather than logo is probably my 2nd most frequently worn watch after my Tudor BB GMT. The dial is lovely and it is really versatile. It isn't flashy enough that I'm worried to wear it anywhere. My Trident GMT Red-bezel White-dial was my first "good" watch and wears great and gets the most comments of any watch I wear. The black C8 Flyer Auto in the 38 or 39mm size I love on the wrist, but when I'm grabbing from the box it doesn't get grabbed nearly as much as it deserves.
Re: CW in the context of your collection?
My first foray into CW and i was torn between 2 watches a C63 GMT dragonfly and the double green C65 aquitaine. I ended up getting neither as I was browsing ebay and saw a Grren/sand aquitaine and thought it looked great especially on the green leather. Made a cheeky offer and it now sits with my other autos. I also have an omega seamaster quartz my first expensive watch a Breitling steelfish a watch i still love although it is a beast, a Tudor fastrider blackshield which i adore but seems like a marmite watch and a Squale 1521 PVD. I also have a few others a couple of raymond weil the usual rotary and an Oakley GMT. I dont really see them as a collection just a few watches i have picked up over the years. If i get another it will probably be the C63 gmt but will have to wait a wee bit now as i want a bader bracelet for my aquitaine first.
Re: CW in the context of your collection?
Having recently sold a CW Top Tier piece – the Abyss SH21 – I’m down to my favorite CW of them all – the IMO incredible C60 Beast Chronograph.
My collection pattern has changed recently. From about 11-12 “My Collection” pieces and a handful of Casios, I have now picked up several more Casios so the box of 12 is full of those alone, and then “My Collection” which is everything except Casios is about 8-9 pieces, consisting of The Three Amigos of let’s call them “Fancy Brands”, the Beast, and then a smattering of Citizens and Seikos.
Besides those, I have a Box of Shame which is only homages from San Martin, Addiesdive, Heimdallr, and Seestern.
I’m more comfortable with the collection now. Those three higher priced pieces, one CW in that middle range around a grand, and then the rest with a couple around the $500 mark and everything else under $200, if not under $100 in value. Two of my latest pick ups, the Addiesdive “Williard” and a red G-Shock GAB001 are both superb and fun to wear and they were $45 each… After years of “the chase” of those “Watch Collection Must Haves”, I have had at least as much enjoyment chasing the deals under $100 and I plan to remain in that range sub $500 for a long time now (which sadly excludes most of CW’s range – new or used).

Re: CW in the context of your collection?
CW watches make up 25% of my watch collection (the total includes my vintage and quartz watches).
They are all on rotation with my other watches, but I have separate sub-groups for rotation: metal bracelet/sports/dive watches, modern auto, modern handwound, vintage auto, vintage handwound. Because there are fewer metal bracelet/sports/dive watches [ADDED: oops, I think modern handwound is the smallest, but I just don't wear these as frequently even when they are on the roster], the rotation turnaround for this sub-group is quicker, and the watches here generally get more use.
My 4 quartz watches are not taken out only on rotation; they are ready and available all the time as grab and go watches.
I have CW watches in all the subgroups (including quartz) except for vintage.
Based on @Stif 's Wrist Track app, my most worn watch currently is the CW Super Compressor, but it's neck and neck with the Tudor BB36, the Ball EH, as well as my quartz Citizen chrono.
The lead changes among these 4, depending on which of these are on rotation/being worn at the moment. And the 36mm Twelve Ti is quickly catching up, after I wore it exclusively on my recent UK trip to visit family.
CW was the brand that got me into mechanical watches. The first watch I bought was the C5A Mk2 (cream dial) in 2009/2010. What attracted me to CW then was not just the amazing value but their designs. I found their designs tasteful and not overly macho/tough guy/military/stealth [there seemed to be a lot of those types in 2010], something a woman could wear. Yes, the case sizes then for most CW watches were too big for me - I would have bought the cream dial C8 Sector if it wasn't so huge at 44mm - but their styles were really nice. Another example - I loved the C11 (auto, unlike the W11) but again it was too huge.
So when I saw the Mk2 C5A on pre-order - clean design, CW's twist on the aviation watch with the cheerful cream dial and steel numerals. And 38mm! At 200GBP! I jumped on it although at that time I had never bought something so 'expensive' online.
Then I joined this forum, and never looked back on learning more about mechanical watches and collecting so many more watches along the way.
But I really think I'm done now, with the Twelve36. Pretty happy with where my collection is now.

Re: CW in the context of your collection?
CW is the only brand I own more than 1 of. Draken is the only other band Ive owned 2 of, and both are long sold. (Quality watches though).
Im close to settling on a small collection I am happy with, but it wont be in the near future. At least I finally THINK im close to a number!
Of my current 16 watches, 2 are microbrand beaters that I rarely wear, but when I do, im not even bothered if they get smashed or fall in to a cement mixer etc!
I own 5 CWs, 3 of which are prototypes, a quartz (that ive not seen another of) and 1 is a CWE le.
Zero West is a brand close to my heart and im fortunate enough to own a very special 1 off. Thats a forever watch.
I own 1 Zelos Mako which I sold a few years ago, but got lucky and bought it back last year. Thats going nowhere!
My 1 Traska Freediver is my daily wearer and ive never felt the need for another variant.
1 x Citizen Ecodrive that ive no idea why I own, a Himq dive thing, an Elliot Brown, and my old G-shock from my previous work days I keep around just because it will live forever!
My Garmin watch is for golf and golf only.
My vintage H Samuel half hunter pocket watch is still reassuringly ticking away nicely too!
When a certain watch from a certain brand hopefully comes, that will add a bit of expense to my collection and ill probably throw most of my micros and beaters on ebay.
CW sits at the higher end of my collection. Even when I had my Wimbledon and Breitling, id put the look of my CWs at that end, as opposed to with the rest of the carnage I own!
If only I hadnt sold my Breitling.......
