CW hand wound?

Post by Paul Drawmer »

I really like the idea of a modern uncluttered handwound.

Based on C8 pilot with white face and blue numerals and hands, red second hand, no date.

Are there any plans for a hand wound CW? I love the 2011LE, but I don't get the premium value of the LE watches.
There's always time for one more.

Well, the FLE's are a very limited production run.
Plus there is one for £500 at the moment.

We shall add the hand wound to the list of wants..... :)

C1style mechanical (best candidate for a hand wound imo)
moonphase
skeleton (may never see this from CWL)
regulator
one hander
hand wound

And we shall continue to flag 'em up.

Meanwhile, we have more C60s to look forward to.

I cannot tell you how happy this makes me.

Now you are talking my language. With a nicely decorated 6498-2 or 6497-2, just to make it that bit more special.

I would pay top dollar for that.

Hand wound all the way for me and red second hands are the biz.

As far as I can see the only real benefit to a hand wound watch vs. an auto is that you can make the whole watch thinner at a lesser cost than by buying in ultra thin auto movements, and CW don't seem to feel the need to go thin anyway!

Not to say I wouldn't buy one if it came along... assuming it was classically inspired and executed with a black dial and sub-seconds :)
