It's been a while since I've been in here, just looked at the candidates. I like options A and B. Would like A more so with a chrome or brushed nickel case vs gold, but that's just me :) I really like the idea of a wood face!

I'm very interested in a special edition but would only buy if it was a watch that I liked.

For instance I would never, ever buy a gold coloured watch unless it was actually gold. Has Chris any plans to market a real gold watch ?

Option B with S/S strap and auto movement, works for me.

Hmm, I don't know if that is just you, carman63, very possible that more of us prefer a steel/chrome variaton of Option A. I will add this to our option-list, that's the great thing about voting, In the end we will see which one will be the most popular! :)

I hope the price will be somewhere around the price-range of the current CW-models! Before the voting starts, I'll try to get a more specific indication from CW.

But a problem with such "Forum Special Editions" is, that the members who don't like the design of the voted option will not buy the watch. These problems increase if you have a nearly 50/50 voting between two options. And if the number of members participating is not very high, the numbers of possible buyers will be less. And I think Chris will only produce if we have enough buyers.

I hope that we will have a obvious vote, wether it is option A, B, C or whatever! :D

Good luck to the "Forum Special Edition"!

Hmmmmmmm..........

Of the currently offered options, I would veer towards option D. Although I think that option A is interesting, I'm not sure if it would work on the scale of a watch. Keep into account that, when you look at a watch, it is usually a lot smaller than we like to show on pictures ;-)

What I don't like about option B is the disappearance of the Kingfisher on the second hand, and I think option C is simply not feasible.

Just an idea.

What if we'd take the wood dial, with the CW logo raised in gold, AND LEAVE ALL THE OTHER PRINT OFF?
I think that, while it might be a bit less prestigious, improve the entire design. The rest of the print simply doesn't follow the rigid design of perfect circles and simple radiuses that make the Malvern stand out.

I like the dive watch option, preferably without the "=1000ft" text. I can convert from meters to feet, and the extra text is just annoying.

Hi all - have just looked at the various options open and I particularly like the wood version as this would be an ideal dress watch - count me in for one of these!

For me, I'm not sure I particularly care for the integration of wood into the design, and I'm not into gold. I'd lean towards Option D, which suits me nicely, even better if it were either generally or specifically personalized for the occasion.

I've given it some thought - and my idea is that, on the scale of a wristwatch, a wood dial would have a high *wow, that's interesting* factor, and as such would be a novelty, and would make a great conversation piece, but it would lack credibility -- it would look 'fake', even if it weren't. The mind is not programmed to accept a wooden dial in a wristwatch... it would probably think that it's a print of a wood pattern, like the wood decoration in a Ford Mondeo Ghia. As such, I think that, in the long term, most owners would prefer a traditional dial to a wood dial.

But my opinion is not better than anyone else's.
