Tasty typhoon! I do really like the look of those watches but not my kinda thing.
I am still weighing up what to do as I am quite like the C8 flyer on the heavy duty nylon as the tibor straps are easily got

Yes, I also ordered a C1000 on black high density nylon and received a black (unbranded) nato strap. The picture was 100% the heavy duty nylon, although the order does say nato, but then you only see this after you have ordered...

Yes, when I read your post it also made me feel slightly better that it wasn't just me.
I suspect it may have stated nato on the sales page, but the main watch image for that item was the high density strap, just no way of proving it.

Good luck. Hope you get the right strap in the right colour. I'm going to have to change my strap. I think the NATO makes it seem top heavy and it pulls it over to the side. I'm not going to get on with it I fear! It's even had me considering sending it back. I know that's daft 'cos I like the watch and I shouldn't let the strap put me off. You know how it is though, when the doubt creeps in?

Perhaps Steve a ballistic nylon / maratac would be an option.

With regard to the C8 Flyer of the title of this thread: aren't the Tiber straps gorgeous? That fabulous leather smell...

Received my C8 Flyer Automatic yesterday, great watch in the flesh so to speak.
And I'm impressed with the strap too, not only the smell but also the taper down in thickness from the shoulder. Nice piece of work.

Can you please not moan about C1000s arriving on NATOs?

I put one in my basket and sent a question to CS asking if they could swap to the nylon (I don't like NATOs). Which turned out to be a stoopid idea as they were sold out by the morning....

Doh.... :(

Keep checking back on the web site every day. There's bound to be some returns and if there's enough of them, they may reappear briefly. It happened a couple of times with the vintage Tridents. You have to be persistent and quick! Good luck!
