Epilogue: I somehow managed to walk out of the event without purchasing the C63 GMT, or anything else for that matter. My wife and a good friend both attended the show with me, and they too resisted the siren call. What a bunch of party poopers.
Will of iron! Teach me this some day please?!

What do you think about the 6 o'clock index under the date window? Something was bugging me about it, and I finally realized it was because it looks like they just cut the top part of the index off without finishing the chamfer around it. It looks like they just stuck it on as an afterthought.
Malcolm, when zooming in upon the 6 o'clock hour marker, it does look unfinished and lopped off to some degree. But I honestly would have never noticed it if I hadn't read your comments. It didn't bother me at all, and it's discreet enough being tucked in under the date window that it doesn't detract from the watch's overall aesthetic, in my opinion.
Also, I've attached pictures of the crown tube to show the red painted areas. The crown itself has red on its inner, case facing portion all around the crown. The tube is red only on the underside and on the part closest to the case.
I apologize for the poor picture quality. As before, the lighting in the room was not conducive to get good, clear photos.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my questions John. I am envious of you being able to attend the event, as it looks like it was a great time. Unfortunately it was a little too far for me to travel this weekend from Oregon along with other commitments this weekend.

A simple thanks, John, for posting this up with pics and your experience at the show. Much appreciated that you took the time and trouble to share with folks on the forum
As for my own take on this new line, I like it a lot (especially in Sand/Green) but don't really need another diver and I'm still in love after a few years now with my C65 Trident Diver. I seem to remember though that they were talking about giving Aquitaine its own unique model number, not C65?
Did this come up in discussions at the booth?
Chris, I forgot until just now, but I did ask CW why the Aquitaine is still a C65 rather than a C67 or C69. Declan said they wanted to keep the C65 designation because the Aquitaine's case is an evolution from the C65 Trident line, but at the same time the rest of the watch is sufficiently different from the C65 Trident line that calling it Mk2 didn't seem right.

Possibly, I’m obviously only going off this picture which I thought looked like the loop may be permanently attached to the strap below the keeper. If it is something that would allow you to move the keeper then it remain fixed, then it could be a nice idea.
...and I got this one wrong...apologies. It is in fact, a fixed loop that does not stretch (or at most, stretches just a tiny bit). I've attached a picture that shows the maximum amount, approximately, the loop allows the keeper to move up the strap:

Thanks for the info on the loop, which I will find invaluable.
I wear my straps on the loose side and all too frequently, with the movement of the watch & strap on my wrist, after a while I find the floating, second keeper has worked its way around the strap up towards the lugs.
This loop will prevent that. Good call, CW.
