...the birth of the CW Trident

The Trident is Christopher Ward’s most popular watch range. Here, we speak to co-founders Chris Ward and Mike France as they recall the Trident’s development: from the changes they wished they’d made through to the influences that helped make it so successful......continued on the CW Blog

Is there a reason why the photos on the blog are such low quality (blurred, low resolution)?

The full sized ones are fine when clicked on, but the resizing algorithm makes them look pretty bad when you're reading the blog...

Seems like quite an open and honest chat.

Talking about the clear influence of the sub,
Unhappy with the lume
Unhappy with the alignment issues

Though not too sure about this:
Mike

It’s also received critical acclaim from owners and watch critics alike, who almost universally acknowledge that this is probably the value watch of its type available today. Oh, and it looks really cool

That's just Mike trying to create waves.

He said he wanted CW to be bigger than the beatles at one point or something lol.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Is the Trident MKII not one of the best values available today though, especially when it's on sale? I mean the Trident competes every bit as much with the Oris Aquis which officially retails for double the price of the C60. With the 5 year warranty, isn't that an amazing value? I truly feel like we've all just got the steal of the year with those amazing blue PRO 600s half-off. I love mine and can't believe what I actually paid for it.

I think you need to compare RRP, rather than sales price. But either way I'm not suggesting it isn't a great value watch, merely that Mike is wording it very strongly. How can someone say it's almost universally acknowledged to be the value watch of its type? That is a pretty bold statement.

Quite an amazing statement as they have to regularly cut the price by 50% to sell them. I suggest universally no-one has heard of them! Wouldn't CW and MF be better employed sorting out the returns and servicing departments?
