The 42mm in black with blue bezel was indeed part of the sale (as I saw it on the owner's wrist only yesterday) but sometimes, as we know, items get returned and offered up to others. One, at least, could then have been available at the sale price. So his asking is not in the slightest bit cheeky. If I was him I'd ring CWL and enquire. That's sensible, not cheeky!scooter wrote:becauseMadJam250 wrote:How can it be cheeky if the buyer wasn't sure how many, and which, watches were in the sale?

In your opinion!
Like you I could keep this up all night but have seen enough threads over the years go down the pan when 2 members totally disagree.
You've made your point and I've made mine. I have no intention of further boring the Forum with posts that are going nowhere at all fast.

Re: CW Autumn sale on
@Georgeeboi. Your request was not in the slightest bit cheeky. Many would have done the same to simply enquire, and fair play to you. Welcome to the forum, and I hope you find your new watch soon, be it at half price or 15% off.Georgeeboi wrote:Not intended to be cheeky really I thought I would have a go with the 38mm I wasn't sure it would be big enough and it wasn't! Cw had a look for me to swap it for a 42mm but they had all gone in the black and blue which I appreciated I suppose I will send it back for a refund and wait for another sale but impressed with there service.scooter wrote:If you bought the 38mm in the sale then I can't imagine that they would swap it outright for a 42/43mm one. I'm sure you'll have to pay the difference.
Your first post on Forum stated that the larger ones had gone prior to your purchase.
That's a bit cheeky I think.

Just for info, I went to buy a C5 in the recent half price sale. I clicked on the 'buy now' button and nothing happened. Eventually the website was updated to say it was sold out, but in between that and the update I had emailed CWL to ask if there was a website problem and/or if they had sold out. A day or two later I received a reply to inform me they had indeed sold out but would let me know if they could acquire one .. which they did, very quickly. So, such items are out there and customer services are often great at finding what you want - it may be worth a call.

You just did! (possibly because you wanted the last say on the subject). It's never "cheeky" asking for any product in exchange for money - something is only ever worth what somebody else is willing to pay for it, not a penny more.scooter wrote: I have no intention of further boring the Forum with posts that are going nowhere at all fast.

Re: CW Autumn sale on
I have been trying hard since I read your comment to just let it pass for obvious reasons, but regrettably I can't.
Firstly, if you knew me (even virtually through this Forum) you wouldn't have made such a crass personal comment as this.
Secondly, for the sake of correctness, my post was pretty instantly referred to, so your comment up until now was incorrect anyway. I would have thought that was obvious, if not to you, it was to the rest of the Forum I am sure.
If however having the last word is important to you, or anyone else, feel free to have it now because I certainly will not be bothering to come back here.

Re: CW Autumn sale on
Anyone else pick up a jumping hour? They had a white dial one and a grey dial one available I picked up the grey dial one and in spite of the size its a very nice watch. Sort of reminds me a little of the Nomos Zurich dial (obviously a lot bigger though!) Black leather strap is really nice too only complaint I would have is the holes are positioned in such a way it wears a little loose or a little tight on the wrist but hopefully that will settle with wear.
First CW I have purchased in quite a long time and I am quite happy with it, glad some folk got the divers they look a great watch too I was very tempted when I think they had the green bezel left but had to remind myself I had already purchased one.
I don't really see the problem with CW doing big sales all watch brands do it just to shift stock quick probably so they can introduce a few new lines like the moonphase they have out. Would love to see the world timer come up in a sale I missed out when it was in the NN sale a few months back.

Re: CW Autumn sale on
Grey dial ones & gold indices/batons on white dial are offered in fact.
Mine is going back due to faulty hour disc (cannot jump).

Was very tempted by the grey JH despite already having a Mk1, was already gone though and probably for the best, glad it found a good home.

That's a shame. Hope does it wear compared to your other Jump Hours? You're certainly the best man to ask, think you've pretty much owned them allhsukirk wrote:Grey dial ones & gold indices/batons on white dial are offered in fact.

Will try and post up a few photos and a review in the next week or so, would love to have the MK1 so very jealous of you owning that one!7ee wrote:Need some pics.robert75 wrote:Anyone else pick up a jumping hour? Sorry to hear about your one Kirk mine seems to be problem free so far just bedding in the time keeping. Didn't really understand what you mean though, did you buy two jumping hour watches or are you exchanging yours for a different version?
Re: CW Autumn sale on
I currently own MKI & owned II, III 40mm (White dial). Grey MKIII 43mm should be on its way back to CWL Tower later today.7ee wrote:..... Hope does it wear compared to your other Jump Hours? You're certainly the best man to ask, think you've pretty much owned them all
Grey one feels somehow smaller than MKII (psychologically) although being the same size. Not as dramatic as comparing to MKI which has a lot more going on on white dial & more shaped lotus hand plays a trick. Those white MKII & MKIII 43mm often feel so empty and personally still prefer the 40mm size.

I was considering this and then it was gone before I could make up my mind, looking at your photos now makes me regret not pulling the trigger quick
