CW at Toronto Timepiece Show - Viognier’s take

Post by Viognier »

Delayed recap here, as my feisty work travel schedule has minimized personal time.

I had the absolute privilege of helping out the CW Team at the Toronto Timepiece Show at end of September.

Mike Pearson, Olivia and Patrick were all incredibly welcoming and candidly exceptional at interacting with existing and potential CW customers! We were also by far the tallest exhibiting group with Patrick leading the charge.

The CW booth (aka stand in 🇬🇧) was the largest at the show, with only Oris being of similar size.

Lots of other great micro brands representing there like Farer, Fears, Studio Underdog, Visitor and Elliot Brown to name a few forum faves, with fifty two brands exhibiting in total.

The public show was sold out both days and the CW booth was somewhere between slammed and mobbed for ALL 7 hours on both days.

It was great to see so many CW’s at the show. I would estimate at least 20% of the visitors to the booth had a CW watch on their wrist. Was also great to meet JC from the CWE group!

It was real mix of attendees who wanted to see specific watches like Lumiere, Twelve, Bel Canto and C1 Moonglow/Moonphase being very popular requests or simply sharing and showing the breadth of the CW range.

LOVED the ability to see the lineup in person and to help evangelize the brand !

Standouts for my taste were the Lumiere (all three are awesome), the C60 300 in Pool Blue (a brilliant colour), the C60 300 Bronze with blue dial and the C63 Celeste (stunning).

Surprises were the Bel Canto (it’s pretty darn cool) and the Twelve. The Twelve is really an in-person watch to get the complete understanding.

Several asks for the Desk Diver which had sold out by Saturday’s show!

I brought three from my collection: C65 Aquitaine GMT two-tone bezel prototype on Bader bracelet , C60 300 Blue on an orange CW tropic strap and C3 MK1 chronograph, champagne dial, on CW leather strap and deployant. Mike posted wrist shots on his IG wearing both. Loved it.

Sincere thank you to Mike, Olivia and Patrick for making me feel so welcome!! Had such a FANTASTIC time helping out!!!

Excellent write-up, Lance. Thank you.

It's great that you were able to help out the CW Team and fabulous to see that CW is so popular.

I can only imagine what it is like for them this weekend at the NYC Wind Up.

Thank you Lance for a terrific write up of the event.

I am happy that as a long time forum member you were able to help out, get to meet some superstars of the company, and share your knowledge with the those that attended.

Great job!

@Viognier

I missed this at the time Lance.

You must have been thrilled to have taken part. It looks very busy and obviously kept you on your toes for the duration.

Excellent.
