Having seen the new way of creating the applied logo, can anyone clarify what CW did previously. On the C7 watches, the right part of the logo was a complete structure with raised infill areas. Has it been technically very difficult to construct the CW logo as an applied logo? I presume it must have been.
From reading about the new version on the Dune, the logo appears to be managed by using pins on the dial to position the logo parts. Would this affect the type of dial finish that might be used.
There was an interesting thread about the AnOrdain finish. So I wondered whether it would be possible to fit a new style CW applied logo to a technical dial such as an AnOrdain, or maybe a CW sapphire dial, or would the attrition rate make it too hard to do?

Re: CW Applied Logo
All excellent and intriguing questions. My guess is only CW can answer them. It would make for a good topic for a Q&A with Mike France!
Perhaps those on the FLE design committee will have some insight since they worked with CW about making a raised logo a reality for the FLE?

Re: CW Applied Logo
I’m sorry to say no real insight from us! I’m not even sure if it was already in the works when we asked for it or if it resulted from what we asked? We were actually still waiting on dial samples to see for sure how the applied logo would turn out. We are expecting it to be consistent with the applied logo on the Dune, though as has been pointed out in the FLE thread, the textured dial might present different challenges.

Re: CW Applied Logo
I think the new Twin Flags logo and now being applied...really brings up the cleanliness of the dial. Huge improvements. I would love to see the Sealanders and the 300M diver get the Applied logo.
Re: CW Applied Logo
Love the new logo as well, really adds class to the dial. Think they have a winner here.

Re: CW Applied Logo
I like the idea of CW switching to the applied Swish logo. It looks fresh and cleaner, and it also elevates the appearance in a manner to convey superior quality and craft.
I recall seeing a video of anOrdain’s enameling process. I would think the pin method would make enameled dials an incompatible option.
