CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??
Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??
Mine arrived today. I can confirm it doesn't look exactly like the renders and is basically just a plain red dial. Disappointing. It's still a nice watch but I'm not wowed by it. I hope the Classic comes soon so I can compare them but I think I'm likely to return this one and just keep the classic especially since I definitely don't need two Bell Canto's and if they do a red one in the new version that's always an option.

Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??
This is my first post.
Mine arrived today. First new watch I've bought from CW (I have multiple used CW watches)
I love it.
I wanted to take photos and post them to here, but they just don't do it justice. By this I mean that in the photos the dial comes out flat and mono-coloured, with no texture, depth or incremental shading/colouring as it does when I look at it. In actual fact it looks the same as the previous posters photo.
However, when I look at it with my eyes, its the exact opposite. The sunburst pattern is beautiful from a multitude of angles, with the red getting darker and darker towards the bottom of the dial. The beaks and the jewels absolutely pop as well, with the dial really presenting as I wanted it to when I ordered it.
The bracelet feels great on and is visually pleasing (although I'm a sucker for titanium - my wedding ring and one of my mountain bikes are made out of the stuff) and was exactly the right size, so really happy with that.
My only criticism (so far) is perhaps the red could have been a deeper hue, but that is only a personal preference.

Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??
If anyone wants to order a Bell Canto it seems they've got a few left for sale. Via the email list:
I'm sure they'll have a few more available in the new year with returns etc.“The Red One”
The New Year is all about second chances, and perhaps there’s a pang of regret in your heart that you missed out on the fabulous Bel Canto “The Red One”. Well, regret no more, because we’ve got just a few for those who wish they’d taken the plunge. When I say a few, though, I really mean it — don’t make the same mistake twice and miss out again!
Mike's given me this special address to share with you, where he (or one of his crack team) will be able to assist you in placing an order for one of these final pieces. Act now or forever hold your peace.

Have a Happy New Year, and all the best for 2025.

Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??
I got the email announcing the last few AMW red BC watches remaining. I thought about it - again, as I said I’d consider a BC in red when they launched the open series. I’ll continue to admire from afar; the Bel Csnto is nice but not one for me. Looking forward to the pics.

Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??
So I have a red one on order also.
I have it coming in with the white rubber band.
I have emailed several times to try and buy a bader clasp so I can have a custom strap made, but I was told that the claps were not sold separately.
I know I could use the clasp from the rubber band, but I’m the type that just changes straps out easily. So I would want a clasp for my new strap. Just disappointing that they won’t sell me just the clasp.

There have been straps with Bader deployant class at silly money <£50.

I was just gonna buy a strap from the site with the clasp. But $250US is a little steep for me just to take the clasp off and not wear the strap.
I shall keep an eye on the sale. Thank you for the heads up.
Still silly though. That they wouldn’t sell an extra clasp to a client.
Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??
I have to say, I hope I am pleased with this watch when it arrives. The pictures posted so far showing it as a flat red. I hope it’s a little bit more vibrant than that. Obviously if I’m not pleased with it, I will be returning it and ordering the new blue one.

CW has not sold separate clasps and buckles in 20 years. Guess they see no reason to start now.Charlief wrote: . . . . . .

Do you get a kick out of talking to people like this? You wouldn’t say it like this if face to face!Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 4:27 pmCW has not sold separate clasps and buckles in 20 years. Guess they see no reason to start now.Charlief wrote: . . . . . .

I'm trying to offer a helpful perspective on the history of CW and how they operate that he might not be aware of.

Then you’d be quite rude.

Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??
Fingers crossed. I just got mine. When I unboxed it, it did looked like the video I posted. (but that will depend on your screen calibration to some extent). But in direct sunlight at certain angles it can look a bit flat. But personally I'm okay with that. I like the shade anyway. (obviously a personal preference). And the viewing angle when on my wrist seems not to be so flat anyway. But I aways think you have to experience a watch to know if it "you".
I got with a white rubber strap. Which I am fine with but having looked at the video I decide to order the dark grey strap from Delugs. White is perhaps a bit too summer (opinion) for the current weather and I kind of want to wear in evenings anyway.
