Surely you have to caveat this with “from CW”Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sun Dec 19, 2021 6:22 pm I'm with Pete @Tikkathree over the C60 Concept.
I own one too and its a stunning watch, the likes of which might not be seen again and a Horological Piece de Resistance.

Guy, my statements were made regarding the concept with additional comments for the sealander. Please also note I was asking who is praising apart from the ones stated.

You seem to have missed the thrust of my question.
You wrote, somewhat disingenuously,
Let me rephrase my question; who do you consider these usual parties to be? i.e. "the ones stated".
I believe I've answered your query regarding the Sealander range.

Thanks for the clarification.
Not sure I'd class these as 'paid for' or 'fan boys' but each to their own.

Re: CW 2021 Forum Watch of the Year
Admittedly, at least for me, this is a tough choice which has resulted in my not voting yet.
Like others, one can make an argument for the Sealander or the Concept. I thought I knew the definitive answer for myself when I put up the poll, but now I am probably overanalyzing it.

Re: CW 2021 Forum Watch of the Year
As this has clearly turned in to a 2 horse race already, I have considered "the most significant introduction" and thought purely on that point.
My favourite is the Concept. Its a watch I regret not picking up.
The Sealander appears a superb all-rounder with nothing to really offend anyone, but with solid style and design. Its superb.
The Worldglow is a superb piece of kit. Although not my cup of tea, id actually put it above the Sealander based on its design and function as a whole.
Overall the Sealander is probably the watch that will be the mainstay of CW for a good many years, and rightly so, but its the Concept that has pushed CW forward in bold design, quality, and probably made a LOT of others stop and take note, and say "where the hell did they pull that from...?!"

Re: CW 2021 Forum Watch of the Year
There have been great releases from CW this year - I regard the brand as being on somewhat of a roll.
For me the top 3 were the Worldglow, C63 GMT (I bought one) and the Concept.
Both Worldglow and Concept are watches that are spectacular examples of what CW can bring to the table at prices you will not see elsewhere for anything remotely in that kind of category. Neither are really my kind of watch but they are both for sure fine achievements of real note.
I voted for the C63 GMT and chose it as more significant than its C63 peers and those above not because I bought one, but because it democratises a certain kind of especially useful type of watch with that complication. Whilst CW did declare that its inspiration lay with a certain Swiss icon, I think it moved the game on in the modern context. That it achieves both targets and really does the GODO thing made it CW's most significant watch of 2021 for me.

Re: CW 2021 Forum Watch of the Year
Can someone please give the C1 Worldglow just one vote. I have it on good authority that the C1 Worldglow's in the CW factory are very upset because they think no one loves them.
They are getting together in a dark corner of the factory surrounded by jubilant C60 Concept's and crying over the fact they will not even get a participation trophy if they don't get at least one vote.
There was one C1 Worldglow in particular that was heard to be distraught because to add insult to injury, Kip, who they all love dearly, didn't even spell their name correctly on the survey. Someone please throw them a bone before the psychological damage is irreversible. They deserve a little respect for the glow they have given the world

^^^^ Go on then Malcolm, one vote cast for the Wordglow(sp), in moral support of mine.
Its a bit of a tactical vote but I don't think it will alter the eventual outcome.
Guy
PS> Kip is not able to correct the spelling of 'Worldglow' as that will corrupt the selection and votes cast to date.

Re: CW 2021 Forum Watch of the Year
This vote is somewhat analogous to British politics, in that although the majority seem to be favouring the C63 over the Concept, their vote is being split across three models and thus the Concept may well storm to power
Re: CW 2021 Forum Watch of the Year
I just heard you made the entire Worldglow portion of the CW factory break out in song, and rejoice because they are no longer forgotten You are a good man Guy.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Tue Dec 21, 2021 4:55 pm ^^^^ Go on then Malcolm, one vote cast for the Wordglow(sp), in moral support of mine.

Re: CW 2021 Forum Watch of the Year
I’ve been flicking between the sealander automatic and the concept. I can form an argument for both however, due to the technical aspects and the ‘look what we can do’ aspect, I’m voting for the C60 Concept. It’s a muscle flex from CW whereas the C63 automatic is, basically, a smaller C65 Classic with a few different dial options.
Re: CW 2021 Forum Watch of the Year
I'm not conceptualising or overthinking this. I just voted for the model I actually bought: #tide

Re: CW 2021 Forum Watch of the Year
I've not gone for one of the popular choices...
I won't deny that I was thinking along similar lines to a lot of you. Has to be the Concept - look at what it has proven CW is capable of doing.
Has to be the C63 Auto - look and see that CW can still be very competitive at a lower price point and should be applauded for having a watch at this level. I've written before on here about how CW have lost that lower priced range that entices new owners in but the C63 Auto is it, and it's a fantastic representative.
But I went for middle ground; the C63 Elite. It is - for me - both of these things. It's still fantastic money for what you get. An auto movement in a 45g watch (with sapphire caseback!). An unusual dial with cuttings unique to that model. Sprung crown.
The C60 Concept shows what CW can produce by hand in limited numbers and is a fantastic representation of that - especially for the money - but many companies can let their designers go wild with hand-built options if the production number is limited. What is harder is something that is both technologically difficult and yet also mass produced to a high level, without costing the Earth. The C63 Elite gets the vote from me for that achievement. It is the halo product of the C63 line and has technologies in it that will exist in CWs line up for some time to come IMO.
Edit: I appreciate that my argument could be made in favour of the WorldGlow and the Colchester, but the former doesn't feel like it's going to be as deeply embedded in CWs range or as widely seen. The Colchester... Well perhaps my vote should've gone that way as it's even more technologically advanced than the Elite, but the Elite was out first and that's the one people will remember as the high-end C63 of 2021 I think...
