Consort Bracelet/Pringles Talk
Well, here it is.
here are some specs:
About 170 mm overall length (not including end links)
Closed clasp on the underside 35mm
Links are 6.5 mm
5 links are removeable on one side and 4 on the other
tapers from 20 mm to 16 mm at the clasp
I didn't have to do any presoak or anything to remove links. I took out 3. 2 from the side with 5 and 1 from the other side. It maybe 5 minutes if that.
The clasp closes in both directions so there is no 'wrong' way to put the bracelet on. The Christopher Ward etched into the buckle would just be upside down.
It wears really well. We have a good hot humid day here today so as the day goes on we will see how the fit changes. On my 7.5 inch wrist it is very comfortable currently. We will see if I miss the micro-adjust.
The Sealander watch head is light enough that having the jubilee style doesn't make it feel top heavy at all.
I really like the look. It is basically a jubilee with flat instead of rounded links. The polished links aren't so polished that they stick out and look cheap. It looks really good.
Because of the short links the bracelet really hugs the wrist making it very comfortable. It would imagine it being even more comfortable on smaller wrists.
The new quick release spring bar design is only marginally better. Those that have trouble getting the nails in there will still have the same issue I think. The problem is that the slider levers are just so small the change they made doesn't make a whole lot of difference. Although now they are visibly more rounded than before.
I very much like the bracelet. It is a nice addition to the bracelet options. To my eye it dresses up the Sealander a bit which isn't a bad thing at all.
A little wrist roll for your viewing pleasure.
Let me know if you guys have any other questions.

Re: Consort Bracelet
Excellent summary, thanks! How does the weight compared to the standard bracelet?

Re: Consort Bracelet
My Ukraine LE came with the older style bracelet so that one tapers from 20 mm down to 18 mm at the clasp. Just wanted to mention that as this will be the worst case weight. The newer style bracelet is bound to be closer.
Bader (old style) is 80 g
Consort is 60 g
It is noticeably lighter in my case.

I know what you mean. Being able to share it with the incoming Forum LE made it a bit more palatable.

Re: Consort Bracelet
I suspect it will look really good on the FLE! A perfect pairing!

Re: Consort Bracelet
Well, if I pay in GBP, I can save about $32. That’s a little something saved.

Re: Consort Bracelet
I ordered a consort to use as an alternative with my 36mm LE Sealanders, as when I initially ordered I was subject to fat finger syndrome and ended up ordering one with a strap, rather than bracelet. Having the consort will mean I end up with two of the original bracelets, plus the consort.
This will also give me the quick option of adding and removing links easily to switch between sizing for myself and Mrs nbg. Something that doesn’t really work with the original bracelets, due to dual screws and too long a clasp for her 6” wrist.
If I like the bracelet as much as I expect I will probably pick up one for the FLE, as an alternative to the black leather that I ordered with the watch.

That is looking really good, Rich. Thanks for taking the time to share that with us.
The most important question, though, is: what flavour are your Cape Cod chips?

Re: Consort Bracelet
I ordered the same. Lucky for me both the Ukraine LE and FLE share a case.

I think it will look good on the 36s. The Mrs. might even appreciate the lighter weight.

^^^ That’s good. I always have sour cream and onion Pringles with my G&T on the plane. It’s a tradition – has to be done.

Minimum two at a time for the crunch.
