Coming: the ultimate C60 Trident Pro 300

Post by thomcat00 »

From CW:

The C60 Trident Pro 300: There’s another 300 on the horizon, which will be very special. “We’re going to take the technical and tool-watch ability of the C60 Pro 300 to the next level,” says Product Designer William Brackfield. “We’ll play on the themes of accuracy, luminescence and case finishing to make what we think is the ultimate C60 Trident Pro 300.”

The new watch will use the strongest and lightest metals in its construction and bring finishing standards to those of the most esteemed watch houses. “We’ll be using a unique combination of case finishing never before seen on a CW watch – and rarely seen in the industry,” says William. “And mixing the quality synonymous with the Light-catcher™ case with a rugged tool-watch feel.

You could say it’s the best of both worlds!” With a release date in 2024 confirmed, it won’t be long until you can judge for yourself.

I’m guessing a titanium case for this one. An Elite in Pro 300 form? Loupe can be such a tease. ;)

Maybe 2024 is the year of the super light CW range? They've already set their store with the new batch of The Twelve Ti. I think it's a great avenue to explore, even though my left wrist prefers something I know I'm wearing :D

Skeleton hands? Triangle @ 12 a là C60 Concept?

Lightest and strongest metals? Titanium is a reasonable bet, but what else? Aluminium? Light but not strong. Tungsten? Strong but heavy?

Bit of a quandary. :-k :-k

I like what see; so far.

satin-finished titanium?

Maybe smoothness similar to the Damasko (ice-hardened steel) case?

But with lots of lume like the Moon and Power Glows?

I read this in Loop, too. I'm in the market for a really nice diver, but am looking for something a little different (I think). My eye has really been taken by the Formex Reef, but it might be worth keeping the ol' powder dry until this is revealed.

That's taxing me too. Fundamentally this is my watch style so I'm all in, paypal account cleared and ready. But what are the possibilities...

Ceramic finish? Done
PVD finish? Done
Exposed carbon? Surely been done on a C1000?

What are the possibilities then?

diamonds/jewels? No!!!!!
Etched titanium? Maybe?
Etched Steel - think your typical damascus steel? Yeah!
Glow-in-the-dark PVD? Well it might grow on me :silent:

Nice looking supreme quality diver style watch is bang on for me. I will own a Seamaster one day, but I cant justify the funds at the mo. (It kills me looking at the sales corner recently ](*,) )

This is 100 times more interesting than the last bit of bait they threw out!

Caught wind of CW's latest on the C60 Trident Pro 300 for this year! The talk about stronger metals, precision, and that secret sauce of a case finish has me totally hyped. The mix of style and rugged vibes? Sign me up! Can't wait to see if it's as awesome as it sounds.

Cheers, ripple7026

This is awfully compelling in that I've been focusing on fine tuning my watch box to a less-is-more scenario and more watches have left than have rejoined in recent months. Less-is-more has shined a light on really trying to get it right with each watch - functional, refined, and suited for longevity both in quality and design language I think would be the theme.

That said, though I may have just landed on my ultimate C65 Trident model in the recent addition of the C65 Trident Chronograph, I've struggled with the C60 line over the years, with different generations, sizes, colors, and GMT versions passing in and out of the collection. I finally landed on the C60 Trident Pro 300, 40mm in blue last year, which was my daily driver for several months. I much prefer the bezel on the Pro 300, but as I've honed my focus and taken a harder editorial view, I'm questioning it.

A new Pro 300... possibly titanium... and a chronometer... that could be the one!
