What is the source of this information or is this just a guess?

They are guesses based on the teaser image published in the Loupe.

Is it just me, or is a lumed dial a bit of a stretch based on this teaser image?

Not really if you read the writeup coupled with the skeleton hands in the image.

Emphasis mine.

“We’ll play on the
themes of accuracy, luminescence and
case finishing to make what we think is the
ultimate C60 Trident Pro 300.”

The clue is in the luminescence and case finishing wording. It’s not a lumed dial but CWs version of the IWC ceralume………

Ah ok. Your post above only mentioned the teaser image, and not the fact luminescence was specifically mentioned in the text.

In studying the teaser, the hands definitely look like a newly redesigned skeletonized version with the applied twin flag logo that has become standard. I am really hoping the marker at 12 isn't an applied or glued on triangle, but that is what it looks like. Was it the Concept model that several were reported coming loose? Sometimes the teaser drawings leave a lot to the imagination....

This is not the Ultimate C60 300. Mike France has been hinting heavily that there is a major release coming in August. It is thought, that this August release is the teased ultimate C60 300.*

If the GMT were what was teased the marketing would have Ultimate C60 all over it.

*No inside knowledge.

Well we can't buy anything until we see the ultimate. I've not unwrapped my sale watch yet just in case.

It reminds me of granddad's emperor burger in only fools and horses. I won't have enough money for the ultimate, either. :D

Given the Super Compressor pricing this is bound to have an Ultimate price tag too.

When I went to watchit last month. A member of staff said they were virtually releasing a new watch every week through the summer. We have had 3.in 3 weeks so some more to come after the ultimate c60 by the sounds of it

That's quite a strange operating model for a watch company. I guess now they've built the different platforms they are almost operating like Apple with consistent tweaks/updates to the models

I think there’s an element of not letting the grass grow under your feet, as well as opening up a huge market in the US. To extend the grass metaphor, making hay while the sun shines!
