Thanks for this post! I've been wanting a dress watch for a while now and I took too long deciding on a C5mkii white face during the last NN sale. Didn't make that mistake this time around. $340 + shipping for a Swiss movement, double sapphire crystal / front domed, exhibition case back with decorated movement that happens to also look great?

I think I did well.

Depressing to see the same old watches which appear to have been impervious to the Fathers Day sale, the Summer sale and the £50 voucher. For a retailer that claims to sell more than 20,000 watches a year you would have expected these pieces to have gone long ago. Must be some oblique brand development programme at work here!

Was very tempted by two of the C9 models on sale, the silver dial and the GMT. Decided against both as
- I just bought a blue C9 3 hand that I prefer to the silver
- the silver is hard to read with my old eyes :(
- the GMT, while nice, is £100 more and I'd never use the GMT function anyway...

Have you noticed that all the women's watches are marked at 50% – almost all of the men's watches at 30% off? If they really want to shift the stock it should be fairly obvious what to do. :D

One lovely exception being the blue C9 chrono, down from £975 to £488. Super. Great. Probably a fantastic bargain. Just glad that mine only owes me £600 and not the full, testicle-wrenching £975. :silent: :silent: Ah well, life's about the lessons you learn and what you do with it/them. Bitter? Who, moi?

A yes, the gold C4 from CW's short-lived gangster rapper thug life range , though I can imagine even 50 Cent would think it 'a bit much' :D

Unless I've missed it I think we are still awaiting an announcement about the future of womens watches within the brand. In the meantime I think they are finding it difficult to move them on even at 50% off. Women, generally, Asquerth and our other friends excepted, do not buy fashion pieces on the internet. Wonder which market research consultants advised CW otherwise, particularly the pieces at 1k+?!

Can recommend the white faced Amelia with the black strap, very wearable size for a bloke.

Didn't think there would be any of these left, especially at that price.
