I happened across the new "Superlative" podcast from Ablogtowatch featuring Ariel Adams interviewing Mike France. It's a bit over an hour long but does have some new(-ish) insights from Mike especially about the early days of CW. There's also an amusing section on market segmentation (that's us btw) and how they use a birds metaphor for customer groups.

I'm clearly not a peacock or a cuckoo. Is there a "pain in the bum" bird?

wrt The Birds, I think there's a lot of vultures circling round end of year sales, and magpies picking up nice shiny baubles all the while.

Well as someone who did quite well out of the NN sale this January I must be one of the vultures. Squawk, squawk.
Although I do like the idea that a mischief of magpies were complaining that the vouchers went away and they couldn't buy shiny things anymore.

Don't worry Mark, I hadn't noticed there is another thread either; it depends on which order one reads 'unread' posts.albionphoto wrote:oops. Just noticed another thread on this. Apologies to the Mods.
