Re: Chris Needs Help
I will be one of those that posts the good reports, my watch arrived perfect and quick considering the time of year. I think all companies go through growing pains and I hope that Chris does learn from any mistakes and that’s what makes a good company, not one that doesn’t make mistakes but one that learns by them and doesn't repeat them.

Re: Chris Needs Help
I think you guys are picking on President a little unfairly. All he said was that Chris needs help (the title of the post), and that he seems to be making more errors than in the past. While it is true that we are probably only hearing the errors, and not all the 'mine is great', if we look at how many errors have occurred among ourselves that normally post here, and extrapolate that out to the mass customers, I am confident we would see a noticable increase in the error ratio. Unless we want to choose to believe he got everyone elses correct, and just messed up many of the watches of those that post here...which would be a suicidal thing to do. In fact, it would be smart of him to make extra special sure that the regular forum member's watches are double-checked for correctness (hint, hint, ahem, hint, throw in an extra strap or two, hint, ahem.. ).
We also need to remember that those of us that are long-time CW customers and fans are going to be more tolerant of his errors. I already have 2 CWs and I know what he is capable of. So, if a rough time comes along like this one, I know Chris will do all he can to make it better. But, Chris needs to realize that new customers will not have that loyalty or comfort that we do. Imagine if this was your first CW watch and you were new to the forum. You have heard all this great stuff about his service. You order a watch a month ago that was supposed to deliver around November. It shows up a month later, one side of the strap attached, the other side not. Then you find out you don't have the correct clasp. Oh, and it didn't get regulated well. And you paid for it a month ago. This is not going to give you a warm fuzzy.
My Forum LE did arrive perfect as it should. My only gripe is the lume. That strikes me as something he is going to have to fix going forward. i don't see how the KF could be read when diving...I can't read it in my car at night. Other than that, as I have already posted, I think the watch is spectacular. I think the lume is going to be even more critical on the big pilot watch.
But, back to Prez, all he is saying is Chris needs help. I hope we can find a way to offer constructive criticizm and truly help Chris so he can continue to make great watches at a great price and we all win.

Re: Chris Needs Help
Does it matter? He has ordered CW watches before. He just stated the other day he likes the big pilot. I think he has as much right to comment on what he sees as anyone...as long as he adheres to Hans's guidelines. Since he just stated he likes the big pilot, I tend to want to give him the credit that he wants to see CW succeed and his criticizms are meant in good faith and that he isn't merely trying to bash Chris.hantsman wrote:As I said, " did President order an Le KF"
The biggest problem is that I am not sure what any of us can do to help make things better.

Re: Chris Needs Help
This topic is not about the L.E., it is about Christopher Ward's general performance recently.
