My gold C3, this was my first CW watch, and although it doesn't get worn much i love it and would never part with it.

I probably think all of the above, especially the first and last ones(the 80's were the best! :D)

Here are my two that are no longer available.

(they don't make such an effort with the casebacks these days, I'm less keen on the straight lined text we see today)

Among the more original CW's IMO, no homage or obvious copy of any other brand here.

This thread is going to become something of a CW museum :D

VERY nice! I almost put in a bid on the bay for a black version that ended yesterday or the day before, but held off because the dimensions were 'only' 39mm. Which is the same size as my TAG (which I now find small) but now see that on your wrist it certainly doesn't look small at all. Nice watch.

That's rather ironic, given that the usual complaint about the C15 was that, if anything, many people found it a little too large! The styling might suggest a slightly retro-looking dress watch but the quoted 39mm size is deceptive because of the case shape; it certainly wears rather bigger than a comparable circular cased watch and the strap is a chunky 24mm.

If you like the look of it, I'd certainly suggest getting one for a watch style that's just a little bit different and they do often come up at reasonable prices second hand in the sales area or on eBay. Personally, I much prefer the black-faced version.

great to see your cherished CW watches!
i expected to see AVOs C1 here :)
i wondered if i preferred mkI versions of watches, and certainly do with the C3 mkI and the jumping hour mkI (by a mile!), but that floating dot on the second hand of the C5 aviator mkII is brilliant!
C6 is an ultimate nostalgia watch for me - never to be seen again - and also pretty unique.
C5 Malvern also seems to be a genuine CW gold standard.
most of the women's range i feel no nostalgia for, but the alex range was great (and i almost succumbed!)

all watches are limited editions, no?
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

The C5 aviator was (and is) my favourite CW watch. I don't think I could beat the pleasure per pound spent than I got from those. I think there's a cream mk1 on ebay if you're interested...

And looking at your CW watches in that box - it's a much cheaper box that your current one, but I bet your enjoyment of them wasn't hugely different from now?

Have to be nostalgic for my first CWL watch - the C6 (and still owned)

Image

Then there's the C60 (now referred to as Mk1) that has been with me on my travels including my honeymoon and subsequent destinations with my wife. So even though I like the look of the Mk2 I can't see me getting one as a replacement due to these sentimental (and therefore totally illogical) reasons.

The most recent trip...

Thanks to this thread I've just pulled my C7 Mk2 out of the watch box.

I forgot how much I love the look of this watch, I feel a strap change coming up soon and more wrist wear.

Yes, I saw the C5 Aviator on ebay. In general, I try to adopt a philosophy of "never looking back", and I don't want to go down the road of re-buying the same watches if I can help it (although I did buy a second AT recently). However, I have half a mind to get a black MkII one of these days..

As for the enjoyment of my current collection versus the the CW collection, I completely take your point. I am very satisfied with my collection right now. I enjoy wearing all my watches, and have no real hankerings to change any of them.

Had I kept the CW's would that still be true? Who knows? :D
