Can Anyone Help Issue w/C9 MoonPhase

Post by A684TTQARX7 »

Hello,

First post & recent owner of C9 MoonPhase but a stable of 5 add'l CWL's (i.e., C700 Grande Rapide (currently in repair mode), C9 Worldtimer, C5 Malvern Slimline - Limited Edition, M11 CSL Auto & C9 Big Day-Date (inbound)).

Today when I decided to wear the C9 MoonPhase since we are one week away from something that hasn't occurred in 38 years (Full Moon on X-Mas day peaking @6:11AM) oh the excitement, the Moon didn't seem correct based on the https://stardate.org/nightsky/moon. So I decided to reset.

Initially after a couple revolutions of the crown the Moon didn't turn/move. The time & date was correct, nothing seems loose or rattling so guessing everything is as it should be. But MoonPhase is showing a Full Moon which isn't to occur for another 7 days from today.

Here's what I did - I pulled out crown to position# 2, turned crown counterclockwise 4-5 turns after an initial move the Moon stopped rotating. Anyone have any ideas? I know 60/60 but w/the C700 already in London if I could avoid sending the MoonPhase out would be my preference.

Thanks for any insights that can help w/this dilemma.

Regards,
A6

Sorry it sounds like the gears have slipped or something similar so it will need to go back!

Kip/paw3001,

Thanks for the responses. Wera just emailed me it'll have to wait till Monday but I just can't believe my luck. Trying to stay positive because CWL's are fantastic pieces but 2 w/in one weeks time is scary.

On a very positive note I know that Wera has a special place too many here & I agree. I have come to realize that she's the Minister Of Magic Customer Services.
