Is it just me or does anyone else think the minute & hour hands should be more visible & prominent than the second hand?
The second hand of that length will also emphasize the slow bph movement.

Barry, an interesting post.
I suppose that you need to examine why you buy these watches. If it to impress then you can simply go for a Rolex/Omega replica - available for under £500 and nobody would know the difference unless they were examined closely. But you would know that it was false, and that would, I guess, be important to you. That tells me that you have bought something that pleases you, in the same way that you may buy a piece of art; it's what you like and what gives you pleasure.
So, don't beat yourself up about it, it's a fantastic piece and if it had a 'name' on it then you would be looking at several thousand pounds more. The fact that nobody outside our tight little circle knows CW shouldn't matter, in the same way that very few people know Bremont or Schofield.
Keep it, my friend, or send it to me if it bothers you. I've just had an email telling me that I am can share in a Nigerian Prince's fortune so I shall be able to afford it. Just sending off my bank details now.

Well I have had my C900 for about 12 days now, though had a weeks holiday in the Lake District and it did not come  , did not want to leave in the cottage, so it spent a week in the safe  . 1st think I did when we got home was to put it on and just gaze at it (wife unimpressed with unloading the car but I explained I was tired from long drive, over 300 miles, so got to play with my new (again) toy).
It really is lovely, big, on my little wrist, but I love it!

Is it practical?, no.
Is it easy to read?, no.
Am I happy there is no lume? no.
Do I care about the above? YES! but only until I put it on then all is forgiven.

No its not a big name watch, we all know that, but so what? I have seen some very expensive Rolex and other "top brand" watches that cost 10x the price of my C900 that I would not want as a gift (unless I could resell  ) they are horrible.
Buy what you like, can afford and what makes you happy.

My problem now is the wife is now getting interested in CW watches  wants the new 38mm C60 as she does not like most of the female watches on the site and wants an auto not a quartz (I am slowly brain washing her).
Now CW, we need an orange 38mm C60 Trident and for me to love the Jump hand Mk2, christmas will then be sorted!
CW owned to date, C9 Jumping Hand Mk2 (now here-WOW) C900 (my new love) 2011 FLE (my old love) C60 trident x2 (Black & Orange) C50 COSC (eve out) C3 Chrono (now sons) Victoria Deco (better half)

The long hand is for the chronograph function. So you want to be able to see it clearly when timing. The small seconds are at 9.

Hi, it's amazing (almost a miracle) that two of us from the CW Forum have been so lucky thanks to such an amazing Nigerian offer, it's like winning the lottery. I received that lucky email only a couple of days ago and am currently waiting for a new bank card

Already owning a Rolex and Omega, both of which I bought when I was younger because of the brands if I'm honest, this watch feels different and you have absolutely hit the nail on the head comparing it to a piece of art. Having been to art college, this is the best analogy for what the C900 means to me. It is going back to CW for a few days as it has a slight flaw in the face, so I get to see CW towers in Maidenhead tomorrow :-)

Will do :-)

I'm looking forward to a goodie bag packed full of the latest prototypes and rare models......that is how it works isn't it? :-)

In reality, for me to leave CW Towers without having the worry over how to break the 'news' of the latest purchase to my dearly beloved will be a big step forward and I will be proud of myself.

Sort of!

If you're lucky you'll get 5-10 minutes 'off the record' with Chris, last time it left me bursting to tell for weeks until the official announcement :D

TBH I'd leave my wallet at home :D
