C9 big day-dates on ebay

Post by H0rati0 »

What it is that so many are up for sale at the moment? I counted 5 currently available and a few have gone through (at decreasing prices) recently. strange how these things go in phases, but why have these seemingly fallen out of favour? Theories?

Full disclosure: I have one and it ain't going nowhere.

Sorry Guy, that's a keeper, I can read the date without glasses!

Oh. :( :( :(

Only kidding though, you did write "I have one and it ain't going nowhere." from which I assumed you wanted to sell (double negative = positive).

Seriously, I think it is just one of those things. It often happens that you can't find a particular watch For Sale, notably when you want to buy one, and then later on there are loads to buy.

I've been reading Patrick O'Brien again lately (with glasses) hence the 19th century English.

Just as I joined the forum back in June, there was a surfeit of C11s being unloaded while I was looking for a CW diver. Undecided if I should go that or Trident, but in the end the Trident won out. Was still interested in a C11 so then they dried up, more or less. Curious, but as you say, just one of those things. The time to buy is when nobody wants them of course.

A couple went for silly money a while back I noticed. Can't understand the lack of appreciation, lovely watch IMHO - which is worth zilch, obviously :silent:
