C80 Sector Return Flight

Post by scooter »

My C80 Sector Room Watch arrived today and I absolutely love it.

Regrettably it has to go back as the winder 'slips' when winding on the time. You then have to pull the winder away from the watch and turn at the same time. If you release the pressure on the crown it continues to turn but the hands will not move and you have to repeat the procedure again.

Anyone come across this problem?

What a shame, I've had a week long wait for it to arrive!!

Gutted for you mate. I'm seriously considering one of these. Let us know how you get on.

There should be two distinct pull out stops on the crown, the first for changing the date and the second for stopping the movement (hacking) and then moving the hands, you should not have to hold the crown out. I never seen this before. :(
No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

Definitely not right. :(

Mine which arrived today as well is just as alphajet describes, as are my pair of C8 Mark 1s. Time for the return flight to the Sector Control Centre.

As you say, it is a stunning watch. I had always wanted one, but been put off by the amount of colour for a wristwatch. The sale convinced me it was time to take a punt and I am so glad I did. The colour isn't as in your face as you might think , so if you've been thinking of one then get it quick.

None of the C8 and C80s have locking crowns.

Update on my C80 Sector with the dodgy crown.

Returned it yesterday (Thursday) and rang Deb to tell her. She asked the tracking number. Received email today (Friday) advising replacement on the way and will cross in post!!!

Now that's why we all love and buy Christopher Ward watches.

The Customer Service is bl**dy brilliant

My 2 favourite icons

Back Plate, poorly photographed by me

A wrist shot. I wear my watch on my right hand but as right handed couldn't take a photo on that wrist

You know, this watch if plugged as it has been recently could really take off. What a bargain at £175!!
