C8 Black Hawk
Re: C8 Black Hawk
To be honest the more i looked at the piece the more i could see wrong with it.. the hands just aren't big enough etc etc
I emailed Christopher Ward directly, as it said on the website to do, if you were unsatisfied with the service, it wasn't really a complaint, more of a search for reassurance, I got a very nice polite reply from Wera, from Chris's mailbox. Whilst some might find this satisfactory, to me it did the opposite, not that the content was inadequate in any way, its just as i had already been dealing with Wera, and wrote to the MD , i wouldn't expect to deal with Wera again.

In that case you may well have had to wait a while for a reply as Chris is a very busy bloke....and then complained that that took too long. Fair enough if you didn't like the watch-i don't like all of the range either.17bex wrote:To be honest the more i looked at the piece the more i could see wrong with it.. the hands just aren't big enough etc etc

bex, you're one of several current posters who needs to chill out a bit.
While I'm sure it wasn't what you intended, don't give the impression you're dissing Wera: she's one of the most committed and clued-up people in CW.
Bottom line: I've paid far, far more elsewhere and got so much less.

I'm chilled mate. haven't dissed Wera at all - take a careful read again..
i was disappointed with service, so did what the website said, and got a less than adequate result, in my eyes.
Wera was always helpful, but the info i asked for first time was never given - and more the response from "chris" was also from Wera.
I work in an environment where theres an element of customer service, and in my book, writing to Chris should not have resulted in another reply from wera.
Thats my twopenneth

I believe CWL are trying to build a successful business based on high quality products, fair prices and good service.
The fact that they are not spending every waking hour sending reassuring emails to customers waiting for watches (and I am one of them) is fine by me.
When they have some news, I'm sure they'll let us know.
When they have some tested, high quality watches available I'm sure they will fulfil our outstanding orders.
In the meantime, I'll concentrate on something else... Maybe, Bex, you could do something similar?

Is it me or are there a lot of whiners on the forum at the moment?17bex wrote:Reputation is everything to us. To be fair it doesn't say that Chris will answer or return every call/email himself. Much as Richard Branson states that you can email him regarding any issues with his Virgin group.
Mind you, I was lucky enough to receive a couple of emails from Chris when the C8 launch was delayed last year. All very helpful and informative. As CWL gets bigger and more successful, the busier Chris and Wera will be and delegation has to happen.
Personally, I think your expectations were too high. If I were Chris I wouldn't prioritise an email that was just whining about the hands being too small on a particular watch when I have to focus on building new stock, new supply chains, pre-orders and no doubt numerous other things that can occur when trying to run a small company in these trying times. However, I have no doubt it will be on someone’s To Do list!
Has anyone had a direct line or correspondence from other companies MDs, e.g. Omega, Tag, or Rolex etc!
Don’t get me wrong I don’t think CWL can do no wrong because they do make mistakes but I know no other company that tries so hard to put them right.

I Particularly liked the bit where you said Chris shouldn't reply about someone moaning about the hand size...paw3001 wrote:Glad you like it!
Too right... I never mentioned that to him - nor was it a whining email..
But you know best...
