C700 with red chrono hands?

Post by chrisedwards »

Would anyone who is at a loose end and good with photoshop mind doing a mock-up of what a C700 would look like with red chronograph hands? I.E. the hands at 12 o'clock, 6 o'clock and the big second hand?

I am trying to work out whether it would be a good project to see if I can replace them to bring a bit of colour into the picture...

Thanks in advance! And any thoughts welcome too :)

I'm away for a couple of days, but if no-one else has had a go by the end of the week, I'll give it a shot.

I think that would look really nice and suspect it would have quite a big impact for such a small change. I really like the way the c700 looks quite smart, whilst still being quite sporty. A highlight of red may increase the sportiness for casual wear...

checked back at my old pic i did of a c700... i didnt do red chrono hands.. but i did do a red second hand... might give you food for thought. This bracelet is also a mockup, as when this was originally done, the C700 had no bracelet option.

Ah thanks Shrink! How easy would it be for you to update the 12 & 6 o'clock hands to be red too?

Also I guess the next question is... does anyone know where I might be able to source hands like this, and then where I might be able to take the watch to get the hands swapped over?!

Have any of you done anything similar to your watches?

Nice job Richard. The red helps bring the face alive and lessens the impact of silver surround to the second hand.

Richard - those are superb. I love my C700, but one with some subtle colour on the hands would be great

Chris - if you do find a way, let me know. The lime and orange options are superb. Red is kinda c40, yellow has been done by Oris. Reminds me of the Omega Geneve Dynamic late 60's elliptical watch where the second hand could be baby blue or orange and gave the watch a really great look

Thanks downer, i enjoyed looking at those  my personal preference would be the blue or yellow hands, as long as they were not too vibrant! Been holding off getting a 700 in the hope/belief that CW will release a version with a little splash of colour, lets hope that its in the pipeline for one of this years new releases.
One request to mr ward though, please not red hands! Red seems to be a safe bet to add colour to watches, but you seem to see it a lot. Another colour would be a little bit exciting, and i personally don't like it very much on the 700 mock up.
cheers

+1 on the orange. I also like the red even if it isn't as novel as the other colors
