Kip,

I won't be disappointed if I get what I see in the add. I don't care if it comes with a SW500 vs the ETA 7750 but I do care about it having a thread-on back as shown in the pictures. That is one of the features that sold me. I much prefer a thread-on back to that of a screw-down back. Can it be varified that the production line of C700's will have thread-on backs as show in the add picture?

Russ
What you are talking about is the case design between 2 different models. That will not be changed I assure you.

It is simply a change of a virtually identical movement. :)
Kip,

That's right. I'm talking about the case design, specifically the "back". It is what I care about most. As for the movement; if it comes with the SW500 I'll be happy but I do want a thread-on case back just like it shows in the picture. If it does in fact come that way it will be the first thread-on back for a CW watch with a window. The only thread-on backs I've seen all belong to CW's Divers Wathch line for greater water tighness. The rest do not have "thread-on backs" That's why I'm wondering.

The C700 will come as shown in the photo on the website. It is not a diver and carries a 5 ATM rating due in part, I 'm sure, to the exhibition back.

Kip,

You do know what I mean, the difference between a "thread-on back" as opposed to a "screw-down back" Right? If you say it will come as shown, I'll believe you!

I didn't feel sure anyone was really understanding what I was asking.

Yes.... Is that a question? Yes a back that is fastened down with small screws. Most CW’s watches come that way accept for the diver’s watch’s. They come with backs that thread on like a jar lid. The picture of the C700's Case Back shows to have notches for a tool to be used to unscrew off or tighten the back. I'm hoping this is how my C700 will come.

The C700 is based on the C7 case which uses a screw on (like a jar lid) caseback. The C700 caseback only has been altered to accomodate the larger (deeper) movement size of the SW500/7750. The case frame has not been changed. It still requires a screw on (like a jar lid) caseback. Although the apperance and depth of the caseback are different the method of attachment is the same. You will get what you want ..... a screw on (like a jar lid) caseback. :)

I am sending meds to you anyway and have scheduled you for some treatments.:laserschwert:

And in case you forgot during your absence, a review of what the meds are for........

The 13 magic ingredients of the meds are well guarded.... but this is what they do!

#1 is to help ease the anxiety and increase anticipation when placing an order.

#2 is to help give you the courage to pull the trigger on the Buy Now button.

#3 is to encourage you to purchase just one more.

#4 is to release the guilt from your mind over thinking about or actually hitting the Buy Now button.

#5 is to keep your mind actively thinking of ways to get another watch into your home unnoticed.

#6 is a pure pain reliever that kicks in only if needed should it get noticed.

#7 is to make sure that you are never satisfied and builds your cravings.

#8 is to make certain that when balancing the accounts that certain items are deducted...just never entered.

#9 is to help you feel euphoric knowing that you have completed a purchase.

#10 is to help build the anticipation of arrival.

#11 is to increase the desire to jump back into the hunt.

#12 is to settle thy nerves when headed for reinforcing treatments.

#13 is a stabilizer to balance ingredients 1-12

Special treatments are also available at various levels tailored for Newbies and veterans of the hunt.

Kip....

You're the LIMIT!

Can I have the restraints removed now? I promise I'll be good. Besides, I need to go potty!

You’re right though. The anticipation is KILLING ME! It’s like this… I woke up this morning and it was 1 October. I checked a few moments ago and it’s still 1 October. Can’t stand it…. November seems like eons in the future. More sedation please! I don’t suppose I could be induced into a coma. It would be nice to fall asleep and wake up with my 700 sitting at my front door.

Swap your order to leather strap and get the link later! ;P

...but yes my whole life feels like it's on pause till the C700 arrives... when I dress nothing matches my quartz watch anymore... it's a curse!

That idea did cross my mind. So it is the steel bracelet I’m actually waiting for? None have been made yet? Is that it? Don’t understand why my 700 choice wouldn’t be ready by the end of Sep. like the other two.

Does anyone have the answer to that?

That's what I did..ordered it on the strap. The extra delay for you Russ is because the bracelets are not due in November.

BTW...so far the C700 has still not arrived due to the movement issue previously discussed.

Waiting is half the fun, isn’t it? I’m patient. It will be more like an early Christmas present for myself, well… assuming I do get it before Christmas… Hmmmmmmm!

I do like the black leather strap, actually I want both. I’ll think about it.

Hi All,
As the originator of this tread, which has gone a little off track, but not that concerned as it is good to see/read all your concerns about backs (screw down, screw up, bolt down, stick down/up and every other combination.... ) fronts, straps and any other part that goes to make the watch, my concern sitting at the front of the grid is my engine is beginning to Over Heat waiting for that flag to drop and 'Postman Pat' to arrive my mates place (because I'm working away from home) with my watch, the strain is even effecting my mate and it isn't even his watch...!
Anyway hopefully the mechanics at CW (Wera) will have positive news soon and save a few more of those on the grid from over heating as well...!
