C65 Trident Classic Mk II

Post by apdubb »

Hi all, new to this forum. I own a trident pro at the moment. I just wondered what's happened to the C65 Trident Classic Mk II? Really fancy this watch. It seems to have disappeared from the site.

Welcome.

Please stop by the Member Introduction area and tell us about yourself.

As to your question......answer unknown at this time. It could just be sold out, with no further info available currently, or it could also have been pulled in prep for clearance. I would suggest we would have an answer in a week or so.

Welcome to the forum / asylum.

Hope you stick around and have some fun.

As to the whereabouts of the C65 Classic MkII; you're correct. It's not on CWL's website and I don't think this has been mentioned before, although the disappearance of the C60 Trident Vintage disappearing has been mentioned. :?

Maybe they have both been 'retired' on account of them being slow sellers?

I picked a black dial on bracelet up in the NN the other week, and I must say that the pics really dont do it justice.

Post some pictures if you get a chance. The only pics I've seen were on eBay, but it did look better than the stock photos would suggest.

Here are a few on the bracelet. I’m going to swap to a Hirsch James performance in brown to wear tomorrow so I’ll take some more when I’ve swapped it to that aswell.

I think I remember the description of the C65 Classic said it was the first of their watches to sport the new CW logo that has been so controversial among many (I don't mind the new logo).

If I'm correct, maybe they have taken it off the website because they are bringing it back in the new year with another new logo because of all the complaints. So it will again be the first of their watches to sport another new logo :D Just a wild guess.

A very wild guess and highly unlikely.

It’s a shame if it has been removed. I was seriously considering that as my next purchase. I like it’s simple looking face. I have watches with plenty going on, I just fancied something easy going.

Like Tiger Chris I also picked one up a couple of weeks ago. As yet unopened! Will wait to see how the next few days pan out. It was between this and a vintage c60 or titanium.

Greetings,

Still unopened!

That's a punishable offence.

I noticed they also removed the C65 Trident Vintage DLC faces from the site, though the Steel Vintage is still available. So I'm glad I got one before they removed them. Based on the number on my manual, I'd say they were selling just fine, so I'm glad I got mine when I did. This watch has become my daily. Everything's the same as the Classic, but with a few tweaks...same movement though, etc. The reverse has the "Classic" motif.

The photo doesn't show it well, but the face looks like a very very deep blue. As someone else mentioned, I loved the pictures on the site, but pictures don't do the C65 justice. You have to see it in the flesh.
