Just received the above this morning, all in all a stunning timepiece that will compliment my collection nicely. Two things to note, one the accompanying leather strap sadly arrived with a small stained mark on it, I’ve contacted CS and I’m awaiting a reply. Secondly the packaging has changed slightly, no longer do you get the long bamboo box but a much shortened and far better version of said box.

Re: C65 Dune
Just lovely. Congratulations. I can’t have them all, but this is one I’ve looked at and thought I’d be happy owning.

Thats the Dune I want, i’d have it on the black canvas hoping one might come up on fleabay but it looks like either not many were sold or, people hold on to them.

Re: C65 Dune
Congratulations on your new arrival
I know from experience that I just don't wear black dial watches as much as white dials. But then I see people wearing black dials like this and it makes me want to jump and buy one! I guess at this point I take a look down at the Sandstorm that's on my wrist today, and realise how happy I am with what's currently in the box
I agree that the new stubby box looks more satisfactory - right balance of all sorts of things.
Enjoy your Dune!

Re: C65 Dune
That looks nice! Very "field-watchy."
I thought I would fancy that with the sand dial but I played around with it on the CW website and probably would have it with a black dial also.
It looks great on the "Bader" bracelet too.
Without having seen it in person I probably would not let the stain on the strap bother me. Probably just something in the animal's skin.

Re: C65 Dune
It's my only gripe, why does CW persist with the khaki markers on the dial?? Please CW, give it a rest now, and offer it with silver markers.ralfybaby wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 7:13 pm That looks nice! Very "field-watchy."

Re: C65 Dune
For a counter point, I have plenty of watches with normal lume, and would not be considering the new Dune GMT for my next watch had it “normal” markers

Re: C65 Dune
Faux lume for the sake pretend aging is a pet peeve of mine. However, if the tan makers are part of a cohesive design, they can be quite attractive on a watch.

Re: C65 Dune
A quick update on the stained strap. Christopher Ward has sent out a replacement and I can keep the old one as a spare. Great customer service yet again from CW.
