Re: C65 divers or GMT owner experience
Here is the blue C65 Trident Diver on a camel oak leather strap. I only wore it a couple of times and went back to the bracelet. A swimming watch on a leather strap seems pretty pointless to me.

Here the Pepsi on a traditional NATO. I think it works quite well.
(I call it the Pepsi after the Rolex nickname. I am assuming that’s what is being used for this mode as well?)

Hi All,
My first post here.
Here's a pic of my vintage on the bark&jack blue NATO and I think it looks fabulous. Liked the leather CW strap but didn't find it comfortable and also has become a bit grubby.
Hope that helps.

Well, I took photos of my new-to-me blue C65 Trident diver on a variety of straps I already had and a few I ordered for it. It’s actually more versatile than I expected, although obviously we’re dealing mainly with various shades of blue and khaki.

@cheddar - I'm fascinated by the basket weave Khaki NATO (middle row, left). Is it a full NATO or just single pass?
The blue leather ZULU (bottom row, right) look great too.
Overall, NATOs work well on the C65 Trident Diver as the lugs and spring bars are quite low, giving a relatively flat route for the strap.

Guy— StrappedUp nailed it, that’s from CNS and is single pass. All four in the upper left corner are CNS. The two blue leather on the bottom row are Fossil (but were closeouts). The tan leather is a Gecko Horween (best feeling leather strap I own) and the darker leather is a Fluco snow calf.

Love it on the tanned leather. My next CW hopefully.

I recently picked up the auto in blue on the oak strap and I haven't taken it off since.
It sits so nicely on the wrist and the blue really pops.

Re: C65 divers or GMT owner experience
Question for other C65 diver owners (hand-wind)— when you’re winding, if you release the crown after a turn, does it turn back just a bit (~5 ridges in the crown or so)? Just wondering if it’s normal for this to happen when winding...
Re: C65 divers or GMT owner experience
To answer my own question, I’ve done a bit of additional research, and evidently this is normal behavior for a number of hand-wind watches (including Speedmasters). It’s part of the click mechanism and helps keep the watch from being over-wound. My 2 previous hand-winders just haven’t had it so noticeably.

That's correct, Cheddar. I wound my C65 and my Speedmaster earlier this morning and after reading your post.cheddar wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 6:39 am To answer my own question, I’ve done a bit of additional research, and evidently this is normal behavior for a number of hand-wind watches (including Speedmasters). Tanned leather looks nice, really not a fan of Nato's at all - but that's just me.

I do prefer the leather to the NATOs as well, but in the warm humid months here I have to find an alternative, and I don’t love bracelets. I’m turning to more two-piece nylon (or canvas, or rubber) straps to try to avoid the added thickness, though.johnnysharp2 wrote:Tanned leather looks nice, really not a fan of Nato's at all - but that's just me.
