Great pictures Thomas and congratulations  on the new edition

For the bracelet adjustment, I have a Bergeon 6670-S Bracelet Tool

Is adjustment achievable without that thing? $99 to adjust the bracelet for one watch is a little steep

There is this one from Esslinger for $10. Not as nice as the Burgeon but gets the job done. For slightly more there is this one. Looks like it takes screwdriver ends so you can change them out. Alternatively, you could get a set of good screwdrivers as typically they are difference sizes at each end. Before you try to unscrew it, hit it with a hairdryer to loosen any Loctite.

It is actually more common than you might think. Single screws are easy to cross thread and if you do that, you have to chuck the link too (if you can get the screw out without drilling it).

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for the tip about the Bergeon screw remover. Maybe I'll buy the tool someday, even if I find the price too high for my case, as my watchmaker will probably charge me a maximum of 10 EUR to shorten the bracelet, and so far the CW is my first bracelet that I haven't been able to shorten myself ;-)

Good plan but the cheapest ones on EBay? They're cheap for a reason   Handy hint no.2: even on a new bracelet, you shouldn't expect all the screws to be torqued down to the same tension.
