The confirmation email mentioned the 21st as the official launch date.

welshlad wrote: Tue Apr 12, 2022 4:30 pm I stand corrected. I've just received an email from CW saying "Thank you for registering your interest in attending the New Collection Preview..." etc, so it looks like confirmations are being sent out after all.
Received as well, that puts me at ease. Can't wait! Do the new revealed watches typically become available close to the global launch date (19th)? I haven't really taken much notice except with the C60 MK3 which was on insta and the website almost simultaneously.
AFAIK the 19th is not the official launch date. Kip's original post said to not discuss what we are going to see until after they have appeared on the CW website. Release is supposed to coincide with WindUp San Francisco which is the 22nd - 24th of April. No doubt they will clarify at the call.
My bad, I meant to say the 21st (US time/date) as stated in the CW email

It would also appear that you did not join the forum until yesterday. If you did not have or include a forum username you would not get on the list.

If you emailed after joining and after the first batch of acknowledgements were sent out, you may not receive a response for a few days or until the notice is sent out.

I included my forum username. I am a long time peruser of these forums and purchaser of CW watches. Never had reason to join the forums previously. But no matter.

Yes, maybe. An email to say that would have been appreciated. I have used my email address for numerous CW purchases in the past so I should be on their database.

To be honest watch companies in general are far from great when it comes customer service. Which is counterintuitive when you consider watch purchases are discretionary and relatively high value. And there are more watch brands than ever.

After dealing with Rolex ADs, which must be the nadir of customer service, I am less forgiving now. No reply to emails, no more business from me. Far too many options out there.

You do seem a bit impatient regarding this special forum benefit.

The preview and customer service are separate entities. Being "..a long time peruser of these forums and purchaser of CW watches.", Does not change the way that this event will be run. The first confirmations were sent out 4 days after the initial posting. We were not expecting any to be sent so that was a nice surprise. If you did indeed include your username after joining yesterday, I would give it a bit more time. Someone is not monitoring constantly the events in box. Then again...you may not know until the day of the event.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I cannot fault your responsiveness. It is a pity you do not work for CW, you have been very polite and helpful.

However, this is a lot of the nonsense I have had enough of, 'special benefits', 'you may not know until the day'. Some people get emails, some don't. They might deign to reply to my emails but they may not think I'm worthy. No thanks, I am just a paying customer...or was.

Perhaps you can enlighten me as to how "..a long time peruser of these forums and purchaser of CW watches." can be offput with CW so quickly.

Perhaps you are unaware that CW does not operate this forum. I do, along with a magnificent team of moderators.

Let me see if I have the timeline correct….Firstly, you only joined at 18.48 BST yesterday, so if you included your username then the earliest you could have emailed was yesterday evening, after CW had closed. No-one replied during the day so you emailed again - and still no-one has replied.
You then come on here and complain about it at the end of the day.

I explain that we never expected acknowledgements but did receive some 4 days later and that you may or may not get one but would receive the info the day of the event. You are put off with CW because of this and will buy no more watches from them as you are calling this poor customer service.

You say you've used your email address for numerous CW purchases in the past and should be on their databases? What difference, in applying for this forum event, does this make ? It is not open to others even if they have ordered 1000 watches in the past. If you are not a forum member and make the request, you do not get to see the preview.

I arranged this preview (or Special Benefit if you prefer) with CW and we set the guidelines. This has worked well, without incident, in the past. If you are unhappy with our system, don’t blame CW. They have done nothing wrong. Simply accept the invite when it arrives or not. You are making this the proverbial tempest in a teacup.

I think it safe to say that most active members here enjoy these events when we have them. If they didn’t, we wouldn’t have such good attendance.

This event has nothing to do with CW customer service.

Karens usually demand the manager before giving up.

Do Karens exist outside the US?

Don’t answer that. We should get back on topic. Only 5 days till the big preview!
