C63 Snow Leopard or BMF or both and, if both why?
I think it's great that these LEs have been dropped into the market place with minimal marketing froth or build-up. I want to believe that it gives the enthusiast first bite at the cherry and we aren't in competition with a hoard of "influencers" whose attachment to CW is purely commercial.Great.
So what's your thinking on these two new watches - one or the other? Why? Both? Why?
Me? I've committed to the Snow Leopard partly because I'm curious about the dial texture and partly because although I love the pale blue BMF and have been looking for a pale blue dial all year, the wave pattern is too close to my C60 Tide.

Love the way this is headed. Not in the market for any of them as I find them a tad big for my taste (i try to stay 40mm and under, and possibly 12.5mm thick tops), but I love that 5-day power reserve, the certification and the price is right. And I like the subtle signals that, even though value for money is still going to be at heart, it doesnt mean the range cannot be elevated and the brand perception heightened.
I now it's going to be hard to slim watches with an SH21 further, but man I would like a 3-day PW movement in the 40-and-under range. Don't know if it's technically possible to alter that SH21 further.

With the SH21-2 coming soon there is hope that it will be slimmed down and able to fit in more offerings across the line. Better for us as customers and better for CW too. I don't have any inside information. Just some logical speculation.Didier.O wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 5:11 pm Love the way this is headed. I'm thinking they are nice but you can find a 40mm 9F Quartz equipped GS for about £2000 if you look, and these are getting a bit too close to that for me to call just for an SH21 inside...tikkathree wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 5:04 pm

Re: C63 Snow Leopard or BMF or both and, if both why?
The sticking point here is "if you look". The GS are most likely standard production. The BMF and SL are limited editions likely to appeal to a certain very specific audience. There's also a 400 pound price difference which will definitely affect a lot of people's thinking. If these two LEs start showing up on, say, ebay for 3,000 pounds then the GS becomes a very viable option if you like that kind of thing.

Re: C63 Snow Leopard or BMF or both and, if both why?
Overall I prefer the Blue Marine. I have a C60 #Tide and a C60 BLUE and I don't find the dial treatment too close at all. It's the colour of the dial that sells the BMF to me. The leopard print is a bit too subtle for me although I do prefer the treatmetn of the power reserve on the Snow Leopard but, overall, if I was in the market I'd go for the Blue Marine Foundation.
From the poll so far it's clear that, once again, my choice is the wrong one.

Snow Leopard. They both look great, but more interested in a white dial, and the overall design of the snow leopard

@tikkathree
Pete I have voted both. They are both on preorder for July.
So….
If you get both and just decide to keep one, or neither…
By then I will know if I prefer them to any forthcoming release, over the next few months.
If I do and you don’t, I could buy one from you.
Sounds like a plan.
Man maths at it’s best!

BMF looks like the winner for me and got my vote here. As I'm on the site looking to vote with my wallet, the noted value of buying in GBP for shipping to US makes it looks like I should consider both... aagh I've finally decided to kick a few watches out of the watch box and yet here I am again

I ordered Snowy - it was a toss up but now I wish I'd ordered the pair and I could have told myself I was going to keep one and return one. Actually I think I know how that would have turned out.

Both appeal, but the white dial edges out the blue for me. No rational reasoning here, as I’d be happy with either. CWEv3 has arrived and I have both the FLE and CWA Solaris on deck because I got imprudently spendy last year. Must resist.

I would have selected the option you suggested but didn’t actually offer in the poll…neither.
Don’t get me wrong, they’re both really nice and it’s great to see a SH 21 Sealander. I just don’t need any more watches and I don’t see what either would really bring to the table or replace.

Brilliant. I think that has to go in my signature

I prefer the white. Partly because I prefer white, but also because I prefer how the white seems to demarcate the two sundials with a bit more distance than the blue. Seems a bit easier on my eye
