Anyone else notice "pin & collar links"? That's either an interesting reversal of direction or a typo!

Probably correct... as far as I know, there hasn't been a 41mm Sealander before, and so these could be using the C65 41mm (22mm lug width) bracelets, with just a different end piece :problem:

It’s a typo, says it’s got single screw adjustment on the bracelet product page.

CW ’s premier movement, in a special edition, and still no applied logo. hmmmm. :problem:

DirkWatch wrote: Thu Mar 16, 2023 4:03 pm Oh man.. gorgeous watches. Im sorely tempted by the blue dialed one. But I really dont know if i can pull off a 41mm watch. My Atoll at 40 is pushing it, what do you guys think....
The physical dimensions aren't much bigger. The lug to lug is only 1/4 mm bigger. But it will visually wear bigger because of the bigger dial and no rotating bezel. That being said I am a big proponent of leaning into something that is slightly out of your comfort zone. It isn't like it is 50mm.

I would go for it. 60/60 is there to back you up and even then I don't think you would have an issue moving it if it didn't work out.
Ive looked back at pictures of watches ive owned previously, once of wich was an Oris Atrix Complication @ 42mm with similar lug to lug. On my wrist it looks like im wearing my dads watch and im 12.. So couple that with larger dial/less bezel and male end-links on the C63 LE's they just wont fit.. alas.. but at least CW mailed me that my C65 Dune on Beachgrass is underway to me..

Really like the concept of both of these.
Great size
Nice dial colours and texture
Like the small seconds
OK with the PR
Don't like that the left hand batons are cut short to accommodate the PR, makes it lop sided to me with full length right and short left.
Logo great but think applied logo would have elevated the value perception of the watch.
I'm torn, first look was oh yes, second was maybe.
However, non of that I think about the design matters, if you like the look and have the funds, buy it and enjoy. If you don't then don't buy... its a watch and there's too many out there to get stressed over 1 example (ok 2).

Compliments to CW for these though, I like that they have an interest design quirk and at least they're not transparent dials 😁.

Haha! So true. There was a period there where everything seemed to be about the sapphire dial! I wonder if we’re moving into a textured dial phase, kicked off with the LE with the Scottish saltire on it, then the forum LE, now these.

I hope so, those dials with a coloured plastic disc over them were truly awful.

Agree... it was the thing that finally persuaded me to part with the C1 PowerGlow. That little bit of movement showing through, just wasn't attractive enough (to me). Unlike the Concept, where the movement is specifically finished front and back to be on show 8)

The C63 Highlander was more influential than people think with regard to textured dials. If it hadn't been for Bel Canto I'd say the Highlander was the most influential watch made by CW in 2022.

I'm not sure that an applied logo would look good against the textured dials. A bit too 3-D if you catch my meaning. They can do applied logos now but for these two the printed one works best. Your mileage may vary, of course.

We'll soon get a chance to see how it looks, the 2023 Forum LE has a textured dial with applied logo.

I didn't mind the plastic disc so much as the screws holding the disc in place and staring up at the wearer. :( They didn't shout Swiss quality Watchmaking.
