Re: C63 Sealander - new colours
I guess that matching the red of the Mulberry for the date disk was too hard. They did a great job of matching the colours on the Dragonfly blue though.

Re: C63 Sealander - new colours
The bracelet has gotten me reinterested in the GMT in white, which I did not expect.
I already have two oyster bracelets (C63 36mm and strapcode for my divers) so I’m not particularly interested in that look right now.

Re: C63 Sealander - new colours
I’ve owned a few watches with an oyster style bracelet and my IWC pilots have had the five link bracelet similar to the new CW consort.
I have found that the links on an oyster bracelet tend to be longer so micro adjust is needed more often to get a good fit, even if you’re the kind of person who adjusts a bracelet once and just wears it. I accept this doesn’t account for those whose wrists swell in the heat.
I find for larger heavier watches I like the watch to sit still on my wrist so micro adjust is quite important on these watches. I sold an aquatimer because I couldn’t get it to fit all the time.
With smaller lighter watches I’m happy for them to move around more as I don’t find the weight uncomfortable as it moves like I do with larger watches.
Personally I think the smaller lighter Sealanders, in either size, would be a watch I’m happy to adjust and leave so the lack of micro adjust on the new bracelet doesn’t concern me too much.

Brilliant!
If I didn't already have a white Sealander GMT, and VERY happy with it, Instant Buy.
Either of them! The mulberry one on the new bracelet, can almost taste it
Keeping the powder dry for 36mm Twelve. Wonder what is in store for us there? Licking my lips...

Re: C63 Sealander - new colours
Like the red of the Mulberry but that (colour) slot in the watch box is already occupied by my Reverso. Do have something else coming in tomorrow from CW in a different colour! Bracelet looks promising. Interested to see if they make it (or something similar) available for the other ranges.
The 39mm GMT is spot on but not what I'm looking for right now.
Another job well done I'd say.

I think both of these watches are gorgeous and ideal for a change of pace.
I especially like the new bracelet. It brings some bling, but isn't over the top.

Really like the z blue Milgauss, along with the orange second hand. Maybe that's why the new 39mm GMT appeals as it does.

Re: C63 Sealander - new colours
The colours make them look like fashion watches to me. The mulberry especially. You could get very bored with that very quickly I reckon.
As for the bracelet, without the micro adjust that has always had CW ahead of the competition I think it is a big step backward for wearability and comfort.

Some things just struck me on my first reading, and made me go hunting for clarification, without a great deal of success. Here's 3 points.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 3:36 pmFor example?JAFO wrote:I don't want to be a wet blanket, but I think the CW listings seem to be disappointingly slim on some relatively important details.

The watch description for the red 36mm refers to the bracelet being "available in shorter lengths, suitable for slimmer wrists". Does that mean there is both a small (ladies) bracelet and a larger one, or there is only a short length? There isn't a bracelet length option in the "change watch" choices. The description appears to indicate that the bracelet tapers more quickly, so maybe it goes from 20mm to 16mm, and there are more removable links to enable it to be adjusted to a shorter length, but it's not really clear. The bracelet listing itself says 170mm, but every bracelet on the site seems to be also listed as 170mm.
Also the bracelet listing also says "improved QR system", but there's no pictures or further details. Is there actually a new QR system for the 5 link bracelet? I was interested in this. Even though it's a lot easier than using a tool, I still find the current QR system somewhat awkward, probably because my nails aren't as strong as they were, and break easily. I would find a push-button system, as some other brands use, easier than the current system.
Finally, even though there seems to be no integrated adjustment, it's nevertheless described as "a serious upgrade, and the best bracelet yet", but why would a non-adjustable butterfly clasp be better than the glidelock arrangement? Many watch buyers dislike butterfly clasps simply because there tends to be no adjustment other than removing or adding links.

Thanks for that. Did I miss that yesterday? I can see the levers are larger and more rounded, so that should make it easier to use. That photo isn't on the listing for the bracelet.OllyW wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 1:33 pmThis photo shows the quick release mechanism.JAFO wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 12:02 pmAlso the bracelet listing also says "improved QR system", but there's no pictures or further details. Re: C63 Sealander - new colours
This is my reservation. A year of owning a Sealander GMT, on a bracelet, and you can call me Mr. Micro Adjustment. It reminds me of the bracelets provided with the new Black Bay 36 and 39 models, without the most useful and practical feature!JAFO wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 12:02 pmBahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Tue Aug 01, 2023 3:36 pmFor example?JAFO wrote:I don't want to be a wet blanket, but I think the CW listings seem to be disappointingly slim on some relatively important details.
