C63 Sealander GMT - Am I missing something?
Hi everyone
Just been perusing the CW website and noticed the below marketing for the C63 Sealander GMT. It seems to infer it can monitor a third timezone, is this true?

Not without a rotating bezel, I'd say.

No.
Having owned a Rolex Explorer II Polar (the inspiration for the Sealander GMT) for 30 years, I can state it can only track 2 time zones.

Re: C63 Sealander GMT - Am I missing something?
That’s definitely wrong. I have one and it monitors two time zones.
Here’s the blurb I can see on the CW website.

Can you create a link to the page you are seeing, with the incorrect information? I can’t seem to find it.

It’s just on the homepage of the website (when accessed via mobile) and then scroll down the watches they’re promoting until you get to the C63 GMT.

@NikM
Got it, thanks. I never use the mobile version. Definitely a mistake. We can let them know.
EDIT. I have emailed a contact at CW. They will hopefully sort it out after the weekend. Thanks again for raising it.

Re: C63 Sealander GMT - Am I missing something?
I’ve seen this before elsewhere. Technically you can, if, as mentioned above, if you can move the bezel. You use the hour hand as normal, the GMT hand using the usual scale, but remembering what is where, like you do with indices anyway, and then turn the bezel to monitor a third.
Believe it or not I think this is the first time I’ve realised I can’t move the bezel on my four year old Sealander! The c65 GMT bezel rotates so I wonder if it is a long undiscovered cut and paste error!
All that said I love a GMT, but although I do set it, I never actually use it. It’s quicker to just do the maths!

I love the look of so many GMT’s but for the reason above I can never buy one.

@Macdaz
Sealander GMT has a fixed bezel. The moveable bezels are on the Tridents and Aquitaines.
Cut and paste error as you say. It has been flagged.

Re: C63 Sealander GMT - Am I missing something?
Still looking on the bright side…
The original model of the Explorer 2 that the Sealander GMT took inspiration from could only track one time zone!

After I posted, probably whilst you were typing, I suddenly had that thought, but had to go to my watch box to check! I have edited my post to try and cover my stupidity, but by the time I re-posted, you’d outed me!Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 10:09 am @Macdaz

Re: C63 Sealander GMT - Am I missing something?
@Macdaz
Sorry!
At least between us we have the right answer. I’m a bit like you. I SET my GMT when I go to another time zone (usually +2) but I hardly ever USE it to see the time back home. Pretty thing, though, and it has prompted the odd question before.

Re: C63 Sealander GMT - Am I missing something?
Well… It can track all three of those quoted time zones (London, Paris and home) as long as your home is either London or Paris. Technically.
