The upgraded GMT movement in this watch is very smooth to wind, so it can feel like nothing is happening. But you are winding it - it's just buttery smooth. At least, that's what mine is like.

^^^What he said.

The prior sellita GMT movement I have in my C60 is the same. I thought it was broken till I asked this same question, and monitored it for a while to make sure it was fine. It’s just super smooth.

I’ve had packages sent to me by CW but have never had a text naming the driver or giving me a one hour delivery slot. However, I have received despatch emails from CW. I just wonder if CW uses different couriers for different parts of the country and for worldwide delivery.
Yeah I am in London and think I get royal mail special delivery (which I prefer) but doubt even Royal Mail know who the driver is 😄

I can’t wait for my green c63 auto to arrive- I’m going to Donegal in Ireland to watch a Finn Harps game in mid November so ideally want it by then but imagine they sold well and I changed my order so happy to be patient
I can provide you a bit of an update concerning the green C63 Sealander. I ordered the GMT version with the green canvas & camel leather straps on October 12th. CW reached out to me yesterday to say that there would be a bit of a delay due to the green canvas strap not being available right now. They are expecting to receive the green canvas straps by November 5th & thought that they would be shipping the watch orders including them starting with the week of November 8th. Sure I would like to receive my watch before then but I understand their situation. In particular, I am appreciative that Christopher Ward cares enough to reach out & keep a customer like myself informed.

I ordered mine with the bracelet and was also updated- I was told they would be in by 1st nov and sent out that week so with me by the end of next week.

As you say I’m ok with waiting- would ideally like it yesterday because I’m impatient and child like, but ultimately I don’t have any issue with a short delay when I’m informed

Everything is delayed at the moment- I have a nice coat that should have been with me in aug/sept that’s also delayed and I think covid, brexit or a combo of the two is causing massive delayed all around

I received an email today, reminding me that the £100 off voucher code 100LOUPE22 expires Midnight on Sunday, 31st October.

More importantly the email went on;-

Sealander: bracelets are back!

Specifically for the Automatic and GMT

NB> Bracelets may be bought separately

Now that is good news indeed. I might well indulge in one for my GMT.

EDIT: bracelet now ordered.

My order for the green GMT on a bracelet has been ‘partially held’, I don’t mind them sending me the head and the bracelet separately.

Should be landing this week all being well, has anyone else received theirs on the bracelet yet?

Had the same. Could be prepped for shipping or waiting for it. That’s annoying as mine was partially held and 2 days after shipped.

Tried to pick up a C63 last night at 11:30PM (last min snap decision), and it wouldn’t let me checkout with the coupon code. Kind of frustrating considering I received an email saying midnight. But, I didn’t come on here to complain. Wasn’t meant to be right now I guess.

I stopped by to ask if anyone else thinks the white looks better in the GMT and the blue looks better in the non GMT. Anyone who owns a blue C63 have feedback to share on how it looks in person? The white just looks so “perfect” to my eye, but I already have a C60 with a white dial, so maybe it’s redundant or maybe it’s not. Thank you!

I think you'll find you were around 24 hours too late.

The previous voucher code expired Midnight GMT 31st October.

Be patient though, I'm sure they'll be another one along soon.

Funnily enough I find myself keep coming back to the white auto version despite ordering the green auto (I find the gmt function pointless personally)

I had been waiting for the blue but found it a tad underwhelming, not sure why or what I was hoping for as it’s really nice. But the green felt different and interesting with that ombré dial… but the white keeps calling 😄 I don’t have room for both so will see what the green is like this week but won’t be ruling out a swap for the white.

Fundamentally you are not wrong, especially in this day and age. But I guess we could say that of a number of complications and functions. Most of my trips in recent years have been to the East European time zone (UK +2) and I have always worn a GMT watch. Totally unnecessary because I can do the maths. I just like them. I’ve got world time on the phone if I really need it. :D

Mine is less about the addition or subtraction of a couple of hours and more that I like the opportunity to forget back home, take my watch off on the plane, hack the second hand dead on 12, get the atomic clock out and reset the time to my new timezone. It’s also a legitimate excuse to play with my watch in public without Mrs FatSam rolling her eyes 😄 (and I have no interest in the time back home when I’m away- from the moment I fasten my seatbelt I live in the time of the destination!)

I have family in Germany but I never call or text them at any borderline unsociable hours and I have no business interests abroad. I do have a Duoface which is meant to be a travel time watch but I use it as an alternative dial even when on holiday

I totally get this! in a sense I do the same. Living in the destination time on the plane gives me a chance to adjust to losing a couple of hours by the time I land. On my recent trip I did what I normally do, which is to reset the watch while waiting at the departure gate. So when I landed in Greece I was already in the zone so to speak. The only time I unscrewed the crown during that fortnight was to change the date on 1st October, when I also reset it. It had gained under half a minute in nine days. :D

I certainly didn’t need the GMT function but I just love it because it looks cool with that orange hand! 8)
