But also why I prefer the Auto. GMT comes off a bit serious while the Auto is more casual. The GMT is such great value for money though it becomes a hard choice. :-k
Oh my, this is lush!!!

I'd normally buy on bracelet but the green three-hander on canvas is absolutely delicious. One of the best CW have produced. I had to order one! Am sure this will turn out to be one of their most successful watches ever.

^^ ^^
I know the perceived wisdom is to buy on bracelet at the outset where possible, but the green ombré dial (auto) looks just amazing on the canvas. If I was buying today that would be a hard choice, I'd probably end up getting both.

The unwritten "buy on a bracelet" rule might apply to OEMs where bracelets cost nearly as much as a CW watch, but have less import with bracelets priced as reasonably as CWs, I think.

Since the CW straps/bracelets are of the 'quick release' variety, this choice makes even more sense..

Yep was thinking the same thing when I got the email. That dial doesn't look right to me. A standard glossy or semi-glossy green would have worked better here.

I don’t think it applies at all when buying a CW. The price difference between a C63 on strap or bracelet is exactly the same as buying the strap or bracelet on its own.

Well played CW on these new releases! I am not a green fan at all but that is an outstanding looking watch on straps and the bracelet.

The Green C63 Auto on the strap is very tempting indeed. Do we expect additional colours for the C63 Elite? Can I stay the course?

I agree with this.

First off well done to CW for being bold enough to release something like this. I'm not a great fan of green in jewellery, watches, clothes, cars or much else really so it's not 1 that I'll consider buying but I have to admire it.

While the Ombre finish might not be to everybody's taste it does something with the dial that, at least in the photos alone, is missing in the blue dial which looks a bit "flat" in comparison and in need of some form of shading or sunburst to give it depth and more interest. I need to get out soon to see these recent releases as maybe the gloss finish of the blue doesn't show too well just in the photos.

Looking at the new blue again, how close do you think the blue is to the blue, on the original blue bronze watch? Is it the same or darker?

Try this:

I think it is impossible to tell without seeing them in the metal although the C65 blue looks very close . . .

When the C63 Sealander collection debuted last spring, I was hopeful the range would eventually include blue & green dialed models. Never did I dream that watches in both colors would be released within a couple weeks of each other! I might be mistaken but I don't remember CW doing a watch featuring a green dial since the C3 Grand Tourer. I liked that one but purchased the C65 AM GT LE, which I thought was a better value & nice looking. Both were quartz watches & I have been hopeful CW would do an automatic using a green dial. All a matter of personal taste but I really am quite taken with the hunter green Ombre dial. I think it makes a more interesting watch by adding texture & depth. As the dial darkens towards it's edges, it pulls one's eye inward. The Sealander provides great value as I paid considerably more for the CW C60 bronze Ombre a couple years ago. I am in a bit of a quandary as whether to pick the Automatic or the GMT models. I plan to wear it more for casual use with jeans. The Automatic seems the more casual of the two. But, I lack a GMT in my collection & that function would be useful on trips. And, I like the orange accents. I think either watch will look stunning on the camel or green canvas straps. I am having a difficult time choosing. Any suggestions would be welcome!

I can see it being more like the C65 Classic LE seen here in the ref gallery.

Anyone have photos to post of the blue? There were 1 or 2 that mentioned ordering when it was released.
