Re: C63 Sealander Collection
I really like the basic white dial C63. Is it the same bracelet that fits the 40mm C60 MK3?

Correct on the Anthrop, Tikka. I’m also looking towards a black something instead. I really want to like the elite, but I’m not there yet with it although I fully expect it will grow on metikkathree wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 11:03 am
Which is pretty much where I start and I'm not about to offload my Anthropocene (sounds like you don' intend to either). So, in second place, the black GMT or the Elite? I need to get used to there not being a "conventional" crown sticking out even though that's the point.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection
I'm really disappointed with the homage to Rolex, again, with the CW Explorer II. It's the C60 black bay red all over again - I wonder if we'll see similar marketing. At least the Anthropocene was unique enough to be a CW design.
What makes it more of a shame is the Elite is a fantastic model for the price point. Where else do you get that lightweight design plus a push-push activated crown for around £1k?
Still a company of two minds - one to chase the "I can't afford another brand" homages at volume, the other doing great product development and leading the way for small and larger brands.
I guess it's business, and one funds the other.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection
They're nice watches but I'm kind of underwhelmed. I'm not sure the light-catcher 'brushed-polished' really goes with the whole, durable/sports outdoor kind of marketing.
Re: C63 Sealander Collection
Nice looking watches, but unfortunately just more of the same from CW. Basically just the C60 without the bezel for the most part. The only thing that I thought was a nice touch was the see through case back.
I wish they would do a different marker style, maybe round like the newer C65. The rectangular markers look too dressy for a GODO watch. Anyway, I am
kind of happy, I am not spending money on this one.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection
The GMT has the updated Selitta movement and is supposed to be the first use of this movement. But it does look like an Explorer II. How ironic that the Explorer II that the Rolex cultists really wanted is a Christopher Ward
I have placed my order for the C63 Sealander Elite on the titanium bracelet today. I won't get it until June but I'm happy. I think this is a good range of watches for CW to release. I'm less convinced by the #GODO thing but that doesn't bother me in the least. I'm looking forward to having the C63 Elite on my wrist.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection
Personally I think they're a great addition. I for one have felt a little saturated with the multitude of divers across almost all the brands- there's only so much you can do to present a fresh perspective. As a result I've tended to look more to my smaller 'sports' watches for regular everyday use rather than just strapping on another diver. This new range brings back a modern look to the 'do anything' genre, adding a bit of much-needed balance to the range which had (IMHO) skewed towards the dive watch too far for too long.
As things settle and more colourways are introduced, just consider a possibility of the colours of the old C65 LE in the new auto.........

Just how much would you really expect to pay for a titanium chronometer with a telescopic retractable crown?nowttolose wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 10:48 am+1sproughton wrote: £1150 on a strap quickly cooled my interest
I’d consider it for a 40% discount if they decide to offload it in a couple/few years.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection
Absolutely agree with this. Watch brands need this centre ground - the GoDo, GADA, sports watches, and I think this line-up is very strong. They're all very different watches with different aspects to consider. I'll be thinking about all of them as time goes on (for now I'm enjoying my C65 sandstorm as my GoDo watch of the hour). The Elite is an out-of-the-park design IMO - don't understand grumbles about price
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

I was waiting for this, should've added more to my initial comment.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 11:44 am Just how much would you really expect to pay for a titanium chronometer with a telescopic retractable crown?![]()
I really like the look of it, whether it's titanium or stainless steel doesn't bother me. Nor am I particularly interested in a retractable crown. So for me, I'd have been very interested in a similar watch without the added expense of the material and fancy-but-not-needed crown and the subsequent more palatable price point.
Re: C63 Sealander Collection
Love the white dial only C63 auto, great price too! Reminds me of the Month Noble in white (I own the blue one which is a great watch).

Re: C63 Sealander Collection
This is the only one that really grabbed my attention. The extra light weight and retractable crown are nice features. Would have preferred this at a 42mm but I can live with 40. Price is still a little steep at $1,400.00/£1,150.00 but it looks great on the black/orange hybrid strap. Would make a good under the radar do everything type of all-arounder. Will have to think a little bit on this one.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection
I've put in an order for the 39mm white dial which will be my first Christopher Ward.
Fantastic value for money and everything im looking for in a daily driver.
150m water resistance, screw down crown, swiss movement, sapphire glass, quick release quick adjust bracelet, thin profile at just over 11mm.
For £680 on bracelet with an additional tide strap, bracelet adjustment and next day delivery? You'd struggle to find anything close for the money.
The clean dial with orange accents really speaks to me too, it's a great looking watch.

Re: C63 Sealander Collection
Like many others I am particularly impressed with the white C63 auto. It has an inherent correctness to my eyes, just enough metal, text, colour and balance. Priced sensibly too. First thing from CW in a good few years I might consider buying which is exciting in itself.
The whole Omega baiting thing seems a bit odd to me. We can make an AT that's 75% as good as yours but for 25% of the price, and we can even give it the same name but anglicised. But then we're not brave enough to deviate far from your design. Perhaps it just doesn't translate well over the medium of the internet and I've misjudged it.
Regardless, wouldn't put me off owning one which I might well do later in the year when a voucher code pops up.
