Re: C63 Sapphire GMT COSC
Really good looking.
Puzzling to me though why they wouldn’t use the newer Sellita GMT movement (55 hrs / used in Anthropocene) versus the one used here (42 hrs).

Re: C63 Sapphire GMT COSC
Maybe sellita is running a clearance sale on these chronometer movements and CW picked them up at a steal?blowfish89 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 2:46 pm Really good looking.

Re: C63 Sapphire GMT COSC
You laugh, but given how many of their watches seem to go back for movement issues, it would not surprise me if they took this approach with the movements they use.
The sapphire stuff is cool, but I really wish they'd move on from putting it in so many of the LEs. I like this one with the DLC coated bezel, blue accents and COSC movement, but just can't get on with the sapphire dials. It looks dated to me. I dunno, I am probably in the minority.

Re: C63 Sapphire GMT COSC
I agree. My eyes aren't the best, but from a distance, it looks similar to the carbon fibre on the Colchester to me. I think the idea of small runs is a good one though. (assuming it is a small run) They are all based on the same case, but they don't perhaps end up with a lot of something that turns out to be unpopular. So next time they can change the bezel, or the dial colour, etc, or the hands, and they get a new "special edition".Rice & Gravy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 2:58 pm You laugh, but given how many of their watches seem to go back for movement issues, it would not surprise me if they took this approach with the movements they use.

Got the email this morning. Have to say I really like this one. Looks particularly sharp on the black rubber strap.

Re: C63 Sapphire GMT COSC
This is something CW are able to do well with all their case designs. Test the waters so to speak. That being said...JAFO wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 3:15 pmI agree. A grey sunburst dial in this configuration would be amazing and I'd buy it. CW need to try some sunburst or gradient dials IMO.

Re: C63 Sapphire GMT COSC LE
That all seems to work very well in a stealthy, kinda techy way. Like the blue accents, too. There seems to have been a lot of orange in the past. The slimline DLC bezel is great also.

C63 Sapphire GMT COSC LE
Only thing I dislike with current c63 gmt, is no lume on 24h markers and seconds hand.
Halfway there, but damn this is juicy looking combination

Nobody wants larger cases. Apparently.
