If that's a machined chamfer it's possible the cutter was damaged when it was doing yours as David's chamfer looks bigger as well as being clean, but that could just be a shadow.
Possibly, it could be some residue from the moulding process that hasn't been cleaned off.. it would be helpful to see a picture from the same angle as I took so we can see the chamfer clearer.

I think the chamfer has the same size, it was just not visible on my photo because of the lighting. Here is it again:

Here is another photo of the top left lug, you can see the ridge running along the chamfer:

Btw: David, if you are on iOS I can recommend Camera+. The macro mode is really useful.

Thanks for the macro tip Dorian, every days a school day.......
These macro shots show the top edge of the chamfer, and unlike yours it's totally smooth..
I hate to say it but it doesn't look like yours has been finished properly.
I would email your pictures to CW and see what they say.

Place your bets now! What’s the money on CW’s reply containing the words ‘within tolerance’? This one could be fun, I’ll get the popcorn ready :D

I thought CW is known for outstanding customer service? This is my first watch from them.

Let's hope not, I wouldn't be happy if that was mine. Fingers crossed for a happy ending.

Quick update: CW offered to take a look (although they of course mentioned that this watch passed their QC as it was shipped out).
However, I got pictures from a different forum member's C63 Colchester and that one has the exact same issue at the top left lug as mine. Now I am a bit concerned that I might get one back with even more issues.

I have just re checked all of the lugs on mine and they are all perfect, so they can clearly produce a smooth finish in this material, feel free to refer them to the shots of mine in this thread if that helps.

I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and got in before the pre order date was pushed back.
It's a great looking watch, the lack of visible crown was a bit odd when I first put it on, but in the few hours Its been on my wrist It's really grown on me. The carbon looks fantastic, just got to work out what straps will work with it.
Just put mine on one of theses, https://www.watchgecko.com/catalogsearc ... ap+-+Black
a more comfortable strap you will not find and looks good.

I'm really liking this barton silicone elite, black with an army green underside.

I love those straps too but they are dust magnets. I switched between my FKM, leather, and canvas straps but kept going back to the original two tone #tide strap as it looks the best but as many mentioned, it's a shame these straps don't taper.
