C60 v C60 Chronometer
I am seriously considering buying a C60 and everyone's posts on the forum have been really useful.
I wanted to know if paying the extra for the C60 Chronometer is worth it? Can anyone help?

Re: C60 v C60 Chronometer
If you are concerned about time accuracy, a regular C60 will be good enough. There is really no need to pay extra for the chronometer status.
However, if you are looking at buying something special to pamper yourself, i.e. a limited edition C60, I would say, why not.
Anything that makes you happy.

In terms of accuracy a regular C60 is fine. I have one and it keeps very good time. Usually chronometer movements are more decorated but since the C60 has a solid case back it doesn't really matter anyway.

If your going to keep it all your life get the chronometer, if you just want a good watch get the standard.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Why is it you think a chronometer has better longevity?Dancematt wrote:If your going to keep it all your life get the chronometer, if you just want a good watch get the standard.

Re: C60 v C60 Chronometer
Presumably it's quite likely the chronometer accuracy will fall out of chronometer range with the five year movement guarantee? Is that justification to send it back to CW for service under warranty, whereas the standard C60 it would be considered normal amd therefore not covered?
Juat a thought and may be completely wrong!

Re: C60 v C60 Chronometer
Have had my C60 a couple of months and it's only running about 40-45 seconds a week fast, so I can't see the point of paying about 50% more for the Chronometer.

Re: C60 v C60 Chronometer
I'd agree with that. The chronometer will be a bit more special and if it's a keeper then the additional cost is negligable over a lifetime.Dancematt wrote:If your going to keep it all your life get the chronometer, if you just want a good watch get the standard.
Nothing wrong with the standard though, mine runs just about within chronometer specs so i've been very pleased with it.

Agreed Non COSC for me - more choice in colour and you can put the saving towards the next watch

Re: C60 v C60 Chronometer
I would go with the regular C60 as others have mentioned. I have a C60 COSC but I got it for the reasons mentioned above. I received mine for my 10th wedding anniversary. I wanted something special and I didn't own any chronometers.

Re: C60 v C60 Chronometer
Thanks Guys, all your responses have been really helpful. I'm a first timer and want a watch I'll wear every day so will go for the C60 with the charcoal bezel - I think it looks fab!
Anyway I'm already getting the watch bug - and this might make it easier to get the next one!!
