C60 Trident - PVD / DLC Version Anyone?

Post by NMS75 »

Hi All

While looking through the Steinhart web site (apologies to CW but I am waiting for you to release the C700  ) I noticed they did a DLC version of their Ocean 1. I know CW has several PVD watches (like the C40 and C600) but I personally would love to see a DLC or PVD version of the C60 Trident. How many members might have potential interest in this?

Just out of interest...

Think it looks bad enough as it is.

I reckon that would be a great looking piece. I don't imagine I would make a purchase though as I am not really into increasing the number of divers in my collection.

I quite fancy a PVD or DLC watch and think the Trident would look good in black. Steinhart offer their Ocean 1 in DLC so I would love to see CW perhaps offer one in their range. Maybe if there is enough interest CW would produce one?

There has been a C6 Kingfsiher black.

Not sure that the Trident would suit all black.

Yeah it is quite possible it doesn't look right and I wonder if CW have ever considered one in black but rejected it? Anyone here any good with Photoshop for a mock-up? ;)

Not for me I am afraid. I think PVD only suits certain types of watches or more specifically, certain types of case/bezel design and the C60 is not that type IMHO.

I would certainly like to see what it looks like. Pure black and white, no colors. Might be really cool...

Wow love that watch, Richard! Is the PVD/DLC an after market customisation?

No, it was a limited run of the C8, 200 were made I think.
Nicknamed the blackhawk, it should be in the archives.

Nice looking piece that, shame they no longer produce them :( Thanks for posting though, looks great in black.

As good a time as any to remind us all of one of my faves: the C3IPK

Seems CW has made a number of PVD watches in the past then? Maybe a C60 PVD could be a possibility?
