Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

That will never catch on!

And even less likely to if it is fitted to a black dial watch, with non matching white date wheel… :)

One should have one's eyes tested every two years, the professionals tell us.

I know when I need mine checking; when the date on a given watch, that was fine 6 - 12 months ago, becomes hard to read.
I do/did. Last checkup was this past June.
My ophthalmologist is professionally very good but personally not a "watch person".

The advice was simple:
- Your distance vision is normal.
- Your reading glasses are still fine.
- If you can't read your watch put on your reading glasses, get an Apple Watch, or get a Rolex with a magnifier...

A few of my other watches (yes, I actually own all of them).
Sapphire crystal with day/date magnifier purchased from CrystalTimes or Namoki for the Seikos.
